📣 This is a shout out to my ideal client (part one) 📣

So you’ve started up a business and already feeling overwhelmed by how much there is to do. You’ve just set up your social media accounts but now you realise you don’t have anything to put on them. No logo, no branded posts… 😕

You know you need to start marketing but you’re taking so much time feeling uncertain, like everyone is doing it better than you.

I’m absolutely DELIGHTED to finally launch this project with .andbirch

Having known Donna since we were babies, to get to see her taking another positive and determined step forwards in her life isn’t something I take lightly - it’s not often you have friendships that last that long, when you get to see all seasons of each other… 🫶

But Iris + Birch is super special for so many reasons (I’ll let you explore the about page to find out more about that..) and to be asked to help create her logo and website was incredibly satisfying and rewarding for me as a designer too 🥰

The soft pastel colours from the logo worked beautifully for the boxes, buttons and sliders, and I was also gifted a bank of beautiful images captured by Sophie Ludwell Photography which really helped pull the entire design together 👏

Now Donna gets a proper showcase for her fantastic outdoor stay and play group, and visitors can easily find out about the location, upcoming themes and dates, and get a glimpse at what to expect from the sessions 👀

I’m super proud of this one - both the website and Donna! - so do check it out, especially if you’re local to Cobham, Surrey and looking for a brilliant outdoor forest play experience for your little ones 🌲 🌈

Something VERY exciting happened this weekend…

Myself and my partner Shaun Auraformcreative have collaborated on designing a business magazine called Legacy Ledger for the SEEDS Community and we were there to officially launch it at the SEEDS of Unlimited Growth summit on Saturday 🙌 🎉

It was a HUGE undertaking as every single detail across all 36 pages had to be carefully considered. And Shaun and I had to work together (and keep our relationship intact!) to hit the deadline ahead of the launch date. It was no mean feat!

But we did it, and holding the final printed product in our hands was a genuinely amazing moment 😁

Shaun has experience working on the international magazine White Dwarf for , so he took the lead on the overall layout, whilst I supported with graphic design elements such as the colour palette, header banners and some of the advert designs too (scroll to see some 👉)

All in all, we made for a pretty dynamic duo! 🦸🏻 🦸‍♀️

So much so, we are already in discussions for issue 2!

This magazine will be freely distributed across the Midlands via business networking groups - guess who’ll be taking some along to share at Boss Babes..? 😏

And there might also be a digital version coming soon for those outside the region. Keep your eyes peeled 👀

I’m so grateful to Vanessa-Mary at the SEEDS Community for entrusting us to bring her beloved vision to life and for the way she put such trust and faith in us - it was a dream project to be given so much creative freedom and to work alongside Shaun to do that 🙌

Sometimes it’s about helping someone who already knows exactly what they want to present to the world… they just don’t have the time to do it.

That was the case for Helen, who was finalising the end of one career path whilst setting up to step into her new one, as a virtual personal assistant.

So she decided to hand the work to me, freeing her up to focus on all the behind-the-scenes work that encompasses such a massive life/work shift.

Dolce Vita means ‘the sweet life’ and for Helen, she wanted her website and branding to embody a kind of effortless, flowing and sophisticated energy.

We started with a brand new logo design, something simple but elegant, as well as settling on the luxe colours of navy, gold and white, which go brilliantly together 👌

I used this across the business card and LinkedIn banner, and then the website drew everything together, including some wonderful branding photos by 📸

The result is a strong, confident and cohesive digital presence to Helen, so that whether she’s handing out cards at networking meetings, being discovered organically through LinkedIn or Google, or someone is digging a little deeper on the website to find out how to work with her, she is instantly recognisable - and for all the right reasons!

THIS is what I do best and what I love. Supporting small business owners to take a positive step into the world of digital marketing and giving them productive time back that would otherwise be spent doing it all themselves.

Happy 7th Business Birthday to meee! 🥳🎂🎉

NEVER did I expect to reach this milestone when I was first setting up a brand new business as a self-employed website and graphic designer back in 2019.

I remember my first client (I see you, Sal Worringham!), my first website build for Sam Ahmed, and my first networking event (let’s just say it was an induction by fire to go a BNI event for that..!)

Along the way I’ve met soooo many fantastic people, through networking and/or by working with them directly as clients, and the line between professional and personal has blurred so much between the two that I count many as good friends now and am loved up with one too! Auraformcreative 🥰

It’s been one hell of a rollercoaster, mind you, and there has been MANY a time where I’ve practically screamed ‘LET ME OFF NOW!’ 🎢 😩

Even this time last year my birthday post came from a jaded and dejected place…

But this year, not so much.

I’m happy to say business is buzzing at the moment, with three pending website launches to come, two wonderful long-term retainer clients, and new clients lined up for June 👏

I’ve also had to juggle this business with my other one, Nottingham Boss Babes & Bexhill Boss Babes, which I can’t say I’ve nailed quite yet (the feeling of burnout is REAL 🤹 ), but that’s my focus as I step into the next few months.

I’ve got to find a way to honour my experience and expertise in this field - the numbers now speak for themselves - and I’ve got to find new pathways to share that wisdom and support with small businesses even more … whilst managing my own time to ensure I get the rewards of joy, fun and ‘me’ time!

Lastly, I want to thank ALL the clients I’ve worked with this year. Your investment in me has kept me going (literally) but your positive feedback, support, kindness and good energy is what’s REALLY kept me going 🥰
