At Linwood Crops, we’re proud to be supporting Molly Clarke, an undergraduate Geography student at the University of Southampton, with her dissertation research into the vulnerability of potato crops in the Fenlands to climate-driven saline intrusion. 🥔🌍
Molly has been getting hands-on experience in the industry, spending time on our farm and learning more about the journey of the potato from field to packhouse.
As part of her research, Molly has also been carrying out soil sampling across our potato fields, investigating how factors such as drainage, soil conditions and saline intrusion could impact future potato production in the Fenlands.
We’re delighted to be able to support Molly in her studies and give her the opportunity to gain practical experience within the agricultural industry. We believe encouraging the next generation to understand, question and help shape the future of farming is incredibly important. 👩🌾🎓
