As we reach the end of the year, we thought we would share some of our notable moments and successes from 2025.

We’ve created some great work for our clients over the past 12 months, connecting their stories with audiences across social and news media, and through multimedia content and campaigns.

Awards have been a growth area for us in 2025. We have created more awards entries than ever and, if we say so ourselves, we are rather good at it. Our carefully crafted submissions have brought success, recognition and positive publicity to our clients.

Our in-house videography team has been busy again this year, producing some stunning and compelling work, from customer testimonials to corporte videos, events and social content.

We refreshed our own website, which was a positive experience resulting in a dynamic and engaging new site. Take a look and let us know what you think.

We have also made time to get together as a team outside of the office. In the summer, we had an enjoyable social afternoon in the sunny courtyard of the Wine Shed in Market Harborough and just before Christmas we got together over some delicious Italian Food at Casa Nostra, also in Market Harborough.

It’s always good to take a moment to stop and celebrate!

Earlier this year we were one of the sponsors of 'Lorna's Legacy presents The Rutland Variety Performance' and some of our team volunteered at the event.

We were delighted to learn that 100 children who are dealing with cancer will be given Supershoes thanks to the efforts of the fundraising efforts in memory or Lorna Grey.

The commitment of Lorna's family and friends has continued her legacy. Best of luck to Lucy and Diahann with the next challenge - their half marathon.

Meet our new Senior Account Manger

Ellie joined us earlier this month and is settling in brilliantly and getting to know our clients.

She brings a range of PR, marketing, and management experience to her new role. “I’m really loving it here,” she said. “The team have been amazing. Everyone goes out of their way to help and make you feel welcome.”

Outside of work Ellie enjoys hiking, stargazing, trying new restaurants, watching true crime documentaries, and painting by numbers.  She loves spending time with family and friends, and of course her dogs, Penny, Chase and Marshall. She is also on a mission to collect enough bottle lids to create a cool tabletop one day!

FAVOURITE FILM: Jurassic Park - “I still get scared at the T-rex scene when she escapes.”

The Liberty PR team is growing! Meet our newest account executives, Lucy Hennessy and Liv Feltus.

Lucy recently joined us after graduating earlier this year with a degree in Marketing and Public Relations. Lucy brings experience from a year in industry having worked at a PR agency and managed social media accounts on a freelance basis. She said: “It has been a great first few weeks at Liberty PR. I have enjoyed learning more about the world of PR and getting to know my clients. I am looking forward to developing my skills further.”

In her spare time Lucy enjoys reading, travelling and shopping.

With a Masters in Promotional Media and an Undergraduate degree in Media Communications, both from the University of Leeds, Liv has returned home and stepped into the world of PR. She said: “The team have been so welcoming, and I’ve really enjoyed getting settled into my new role. It’s been great applying what I’ve learnt at university to this role and I’m excited to continue building my skills and learning from everyone in the office.”

When she’s not at work, Liv enjoys attending gigs and festivals, and spending time with her dog, Fudge!

We recently welcomed third year journalism student Beth Carter-Lang to the team on a two-month placement.

Beth has been spending one day a week in the Liberty PR office as part of a scheme run by the University of Leicester.

Beth, 21, from Leicester, said: “I’ve really enjoyed spending time at Liberty PR.

“The team was lovely and welcoming on my first day and got me involved in work straight away. I have enjoyed learning the different aspects of what working for a PR company entails, as well as writing some press releases and strengthening my research skills.”

Liberty PR has a long-standing relationship with the University of Leicester and its journalism team. Offering placements in PR gives students an insight into the various career options open to them, and helps them to understand the value of journalism skills in the PR industry. That’s something we are passionate about, with many of our team having come to the industry following a career in the media.

Liberty PR account manager Charlie Hardy has made us all proud with her efforts this weekend. She took part in the Alton Towers Resort half marathon on Sunday to raise money for Endometriosis UK – and this follows on from doing the Thorpe Park 10k in September. She did both events with her boyfriend James and between them they have raised £650 for the charity. They were joined on the Alton Towers run by Charlie’s mum Sam, who donated to the Animal Cancer Trust. Charlie wanted to raise money for Endometriosis UK because it helped her so much two years ago when she was in the process of being diagnosed with endometriosis, which is a painful chronic condition. Since she is a massive fan of theme parks, doing a charity run at Alton Towers Resort and Thorpe Park made perfect sense. “If I’m running, I’ve got to do it in a place I love,” she said. It was the first time Charlie had taken part in a major running challenge. She said: “It was quite a tough course at Alton Towers, but we all crossed the line together which was lovely.” If you would like to boost Charlie and James’s fundraising total, visit their JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/team/jamesandcharlie

From a caricature of the Chancellor with a necklace made of skulls, to the highest praise for her economic announcements… the national press online and in print took a variety of approaches to Budget coverage this week. We have taken a look at how media outlets have reached their audiences by taking widely different approaches to the same information. You can read our blog all about it here.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves stood up in Parliament to announce the Labour Government’s budget on Wednesday 30 October – but do you feel you’ve been ‘clobbered’ or are you looking forward to a decade of ‘national renewal’? Looking at the media coverage of the budget announcements you could...

When people doubt your product, creating a bold campaign with humour is one way to approach this. Oatly has done just this in their latest campaign, with a billboard saying “IT WORKS IN TEA” to capture the attention, followed up by encouraging people to WhatsApp them if they still don’t believe them.

Over 12,000 people sent a text to this number in the first 24 hours.

Check out our latest blog as we explore the masterpiece of this campaign.
