Insanity: The very definition of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

In Dental Marketing and especially Invisalign Lead Generation, there is a tendency to follow the crowd.

You see 5-10 dental practices all offering the same thing - free consultation, free teeth whitening, and free retainers, with £1,000+ off treatment.

It's an attractive offer, but everyone else is using it.

The reason?

Well...the National Library of Medicine, Marketing Sherpa and many other institutions have conducted studies on this.

Their findings?

18-35 year olds prefer SMS Texts and Whatsapp.

36-64 year olds prefer email.

So what can we do to get more leads to book appointments and increase ad campaign ROI?

This morning I was scrolling through  and saw an ad for the new Potions & Remedies Collection of  . Inspired by the emotive and creative names of each perfume, and the fairytale stories that describe each scent, I have been brainstorming names and descriptions for Invisalign for our dental clients to use in our ad campaigns.

Why? The harsh truth is that almost every orthodontist and general dentist in the UK offers Invisalign. And almost all of the ads look and sound the same. This leads to low conversion rates, price shoppers, and a lack of trust in the power of advertising to grow practice cases and revenue.

So what if instead, each practice branded their Invisalign treatment differently?

What if we told stories that elicited emotions and made patients FEEL connected and inspired by your practice specifically - making you stand out, leading to higher conversions and solving the age-old problem of 'our leads just don't pick up the phone or convert'.

Think back to when you were a child and your imagination ran free...

The fabulously fun names of W***y Wonka and The Chocolate Factory 'Everlasting Gobstoppers', Fairytales of Princesses...

This will work particularly well for Teen Invisalign where kids and parents alike will resonate with story-time.

So imagine...

🐸 As the famous quote goes, "You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince (or princess!)." The marketing agency world is no different.

When promoting Invisalign treatment, it’s all about making you and your offer stand out. Let’s face it, you have at least 10 competitors within a mile radius of your practice.

Discounting prices has been used heavily. Free Consultation, Free Whitening, Free Retainers. While that used to work, it’s become oversaturated, people skip past these ads, and the ROI has dropped. At the same time, it’s led to higher no shows and people not going ahead with treatment because they are simply price-shopping.

So how we get more and better quality leads? People that are genuinely interested in getting Invisalign treatment, and are willing to pay a premium for the best service - yours.

The answer? Go back to basics. Revisit the fundamental reasons people get Invisalign.

We know from research studies that most Invisalign patients are women aged 35-44.

What are the main reasons that 35-44 year old women want to get Invisalign? Generally it comes down to one of these three reasons:

ROMANCE: Appear more attractive to potential partners
CONFIDENCE: Look and feel their best, sometimes specifically for a special day e.g. their wedding day
STATUS: Get a promotion at work / the dream job
