A milestone month! Entering year three of running my freelance studio and 16 years in the industry overall. I’ve also rolled out a refreshed layout for these monthly round-ups to mark the occasion 🥳

Here’s what I’ve been working on this month:

🎬 A bold Visual Identity for Logic Video: A refreshed brand direction featuring 3D rendered light distortion. The new identity positions Logic as more than just video – expanding into lighting, production, and broader creative services. A clear shift beyond the original offering, built into a cohesive visual system.

📸 visits Overland Farm: From concept through to completion, working with Katie has been seamless. We’ve built a strong creative partnership across the shoot, and we’re looking forward to continuing the collaboration on more future projects.

🛞 Mike’s Place integrates PayFast & Bigfoot Freight: Their product catalogue is up, and full payment and freight integrations are in place. Final checks are underway before the store is fully ready to take nationwide orders across South Africa.

🥇 receives ongoing QoL updates: Their new Statamic CMS site has now been live for three months. Work continues refining and expanding the content editing experience, with a focus on making multilingual content management as smooth and intuitive as possible for the team.

A few more projects are currently in the pipeline awaiting approval, so there’s a whole lot more to come soon.

Availability is currently open for June and July, though that may change quickly depending on upcoming confirmations... If you’re planning a website, branding, or development project, the time to get in touch? It’s now.

Bank holiday weekend 😎🌿

A well-needed chilled month after a recent hospital visit. I’m feeling so much better now and grateful for the slower pace. Sun’s out, shades on, and soaking it all in 🌞

It’s been a bit of a hush-hush one this month. 🤫

I’ve spent almost all of it working behind the scenes on an NDA project, which doesn’t exactly play nicely with my usual habit of sharing as I go… but it’ll be worth the wait later this year!

Outside of that, I’ve had a couple of really interesting discovery calls. One leaning into video and media, the other exploring freight and logistics with a 3D angle – both early-stage, with ideas flowing!

On the side, I’ve been expanding the catalogue for a premium British wool carpet and stair runner brand – a nice balance of structured UI work and keeping things practical.

Quiet month on the surface, with plenty moving underneath.

From Easter Sunday Lunch to a Bottomless (not my) Birthday Brunch 🍹⛳️

Started the month with pina coladas at our favourite spot, , easing into Easter lunch with great company like we had all the self-control in the world.

Fast forward to the end of the month and we were at for a bottomless brunch – jugs of cocktails, conga lines, limbo, and indoor mini golf getting way more competitive than it needed to be. Not my birthday, but definitely my kind of month.

2026 really is shaping up to be a year of learning, and this month I’ve been diving into React and TypeScript for an upcoming project. Keeps things interesting, and definitely keeps me on my toes. Here’s what my March 2026 looked like!

🧠 A new project has pushed me to React and TypeScript, and I’m all for it. Always good to get uncomfortable and pick up new tools, it’s definitely how you remain sharp in our industry.

🚜 ’s new website is coming along nicely. We’re due some fresh videos and photography soon (British weather hasn’t been on our side! ☔️) but the team are really happy with the design direction so far.

🥇 ’s new Statamic CMS site has officially launched. It’s been a pleasure to work with, localisation is smooth, and having full control over routing makes a huge difference on these more complex builds.

🏭 opened their new branch in Strydom Park, Johannesburg. We’ve been busy behind the scenes getting everything prepped for launch earlier this month, making sure the new location and website expansion is set up properly from day one.

🕵️ I’ve also started work on a new project under NDA. Can’t say much yet, but I’m excited to reveal more later this year!

My calendar’s filling up with some exciting projects. If you’ve been thinking about working together, now’s the time to get in touch - availability for June and July won’t be around for long.

Coworking, coworking! Back at in Canterbury.

I was already here for a work meeting, so why not get some work done and soak up some social interaction too while I’m at it? A few familiar faces, a couple of new ones, and I’m positive the desk layout is exact from last time.

Their coffee? Still my fav 🙌

February may be short, but apparently not short enough to get this post out on time, posting March 1st, amirite?

Still, it’s been a month full of creative challenges and learning. I’ve been mastering Statamic CMS for multilingual sites, diving into Docker and Laravel Sail, exploring deployments with Coolify, and on top of all that – launching fresh product collections and kicking off new long-term collaborations. Here’s a look at what I’ve been working on this month.

🥇Building in Statamic for : I’ve been working on a new website for Certling, and Statamic is proving why I love it for multilingual builds. Their localisation features are awesome!

🛋️ Hartley & Tissier updates: This month, I’ve added a new stair runner collection, Regent, in two styles, Oscar and Victoria. Web design isn’t always about rebuilds- sometimes it’s just about keeping your content fresh!

🚜 Overland: New Collaboration: Excited to start work with Overland, alongside Katie from . I’m handling the website with a bespoke flat-file build, while she visits on-site for a content creation day. Freelancers with colleagues, now we’re talking.

Spring has officially sprung, and my calendar’s filling up with exciting projects. If you want in, now’s the time. April and May are booking fast!

Cats and Cocktails. I’ll never resist the alliteration!

Chester 🐾 looking offensively cute. Zero thoughts, maximum floof.

“No Peeking!” at my toilet selfie. Wildly unprofessional, if there ever was a thing. The neon sign made me do it.

And cocktails at (yes, the one underground that used to be a public loo), which makes the toilet selfie feel less random and more… conceptually consistent. Let’s call it commitment to the theme.

February’s been a little quieter, which I’m not mad about. Work ticks along. Ideas bubble in the background. Life happens in between.
A little less noise. A couple of good drinks. A photogenic cat.

Next month? I’ll take a little more sun, please! 🌤️
