When we were asked to build a website for The Harbourmaster based on Milford Haven Marina, the brief was simple…

Create a clean, modern website where customers could easily view the food and drinks menus and book a table online.
❌ No unnecessary features.
❌ No complicated systems.
✅ Just a website designed to be simple to use by all.

Two months after launch, the website has already generated over 600 bookings for the restaurant.

That’s what happens when a website removes barriers and makes it effortless for customers to take action.

One of the challenges of running a business is that there’s no such thing as a perfect time for a meeting! 😅

I was asked at short notice to jump on a Google Meet with Karl from Tru-plas Limited and Connor from Configur to discuss some exciting updates coming to the Tru-Plas website.

I made both aware I was working from home during half term, but I don’t think any of us expected my 2½-year-old son to join the meeting too! 👋

It’s a reminder that behind every business is a real person balancing clients, deadlines, family life and everything in between.

Thankfully Karl and Connor took it in good humour, and it didn't distract us from what we needed to get done.

This is exactly the reason West Wales Web Design was created. 🤯

The first Pro website we built saved a client over £2,000 compared to what they had been quoted elsewhere. The new site runs better, looks better, and ranks better on Google too.

And 5 years later… they’re still a client.

The truth is, a lot of web development gets dressed up with complicated language to justify huge fees. But most of the time, clients are simply paying for a developer’s time, experience, and the systems used.

We just put a fair value on our time, build the website properly, and price the work honestly.

We’ve been told by other web design companies that we’re too cheap… maybe we are. But if clients get a great website, a fair price, and stay with us for years, that sounds like a win for everyone. 💻

Another job ticked off the list today ✔️ Signing off the embroidered logo for the new West Wales Web Design uniforms.

It is one of those things that sits in the background while you focus on client work, but it is great to finally get it done.

It's important to have, especially when meeting clients and attending networking events. It helps present a professional image and makes West Wales Web Design instantly recognisable.

Looking forward to seeing the finished uniforms at the end of the week.

A great start to 2026 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to share that we’ve been named SEO Company of the Year 2026/27 at the Prestige Awards 🏆
