AMP 💫
What it is:

I use for all of my graphics so I though I'd share 3 of my favourite features and my secret top tips to make making graphics that little bit more efficient 😉

1. Margins
Don't you hate it when something on a graphic or image is just slightly off centre or just a millimetre out of place? Margins make sure everything on the page can snap into place, allowing it to all align perfectly!

2. Resize & Copy
Need to create stories or a banner from a post? No problem! Resize and Copy allows you to make a copy so you don't lose the original and resize it to the new dimensions! All you then need to do is just shift the elements on your layout form a square to the new size!

3. Brand Kit
I LOVE this feature so much! It allows you to essentially create a custom palette and and upload your branded fonts so that you can easily change the colour and fonts on any template you like!

Imposter Syndrome 😦👎

I HATE imposter syndrome. I have experienced it throughout my entire professional and educational life.

At Uni I was constantly in fear that I would be found out (of what I have no idea) and that someone would come up to me and say oops we made a mistake you shouldn't be here.

This then seamlessly transferred into my profession setting. Never more so than at a telesales role where I struggled to hit quota and became depressed, anxious and suicidal to the point where I ended up going to counselling to try and help deal with it all. I am pleased to say I have put that side of it behind me.

Like most business owners, now that I've set up my own business, imposter syndrome is constantly whispering in my ear. Given the amount of amazing small businesses killing it on instagram and facebook (you guys are amazing!!), it's hard not to compare and let it creep back in and take control.

This is why I'm talking about it on here. To remind you all that everyone has bad days, weeks and months but everyone is on their own journey. Everyone makes mistakes and that is okay. YOU DESERVE TO BE HERE. We only fail when we stop trying. So whoever is reading this, I hope you feel less overwhelmed, less alone and more motivated to focus on your business and not others.

Can I get an AMEN! 🙌

I'm currently going through a bit of a transformation, which I think is true of all small business owners. Often we are riddled with doubt and second guessing every decision and every thought.

"Can I do this?"
"Am I wasting mine and everyone else's time?"
"Should I just go back to a 9-5 job?"
"Should I really invest more money in my business when I feel stuck?"

I've decided to push myself and give my ALL and that is mostly due to and her amazing courses and also while I am reading The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod (a real game changer I promise you!).

Following Paige's advice, and a lot of what I have been hearing online, I have decided to invest in my mental and personal development so that I can set my business in the best possible situation.

My first ever one has to be shouting out my all-time favourite author . I devoured her Throne of Glass series (Manon is my favourite character!) but when ACOMAF came out it came out just at the right time in my life. That book alone helped me through some of the lowest points in my life to remind me that there is hope and beauty in all things in life. Sorry for the soppiness but for this, Sarah will always have a special place in my heart. In a time when I felt so alone, Sarah and her characters made me feel safe and gave me hope.

It's Follow Friday but not as you know it! ⚡️
Every Friday I share a resource or author that I have discovered that I think should be followed or have more recognition!

This week it's the inspiring ! Honestly, everything he does is worth noting! I bought his book The Common Path to Uncommon Success about a month ago and devoured it! While it is catered to entrepreneurs, there is absolutely no reason as to why his steps to uncommon success cannot be applied to other aspects of your life!

Tip: to help manifest and get motivated when reading this particular book, every time he said something that was directed to the reader I would write next to it "Yes I can JLD" or "Yes I have got this" to further cement it rather than aimlessly reading and zoning out.
