After navigating her Mum’s journey with dementia in later life, our co-founder Julie King didn’t want to let the valuable experience she’d gained go to waste. Starting with a Memory Walk in Milton Keynes, Julie was inspired to take the next step and look for an ongoing volunteer role.

She came across an Awareness Raising Volunteer role in Milton Keynes with Alzheimer's Society, which fit perfectly around her working week. After some initial training, Julie now spends a few hours a month helping to support local events, hold information stands and display leaflets in a variety of venues and locations in Milton Keynes, Luton and across Bedfordshire to raise awareness of the support Alzheimer's Society offers locally.

You might see Julie popping up at various locations in and around Milton Keynes including Milton Keynes University Hospital each month along with other volunteers, be sure to come and say ‘Hi” 👋.
