This time we're hosting at the Chilterns Neuro Centre so you'll also get the opportunity to look around the centre and see the amazing work they do for members living with Parkinsons, MS and Stroke survival (it's such a wonderful place)

And because this is a collaborative event, it's open to men as well as businesswomen, so feel free to invite who you like to join you.

Today I was in Bournemouth... and it was brilliant!

OK, I wasn't ACTUALLY in Bournemouth. I was in my office in Aylesbury attending the Bournemouth meeting.

But I did spend 2 hours in the company of the gorgeous women of the Athena Bournemouth North group, finding out about them and their businesses and how I can support them.

That's the one thing about being part of Athena I LOVE - yesterday and tomorrow I'm hosting local meetings, today I was able to virtually road trip further afield, and it's all included in my membership (we don't pay anything extra to attend meetings other than our own)

So our connections can be as wide as we want them to be.

And it's not just about finding new clients. Today members who attended found potential referral sources, learned from a fabulous speaker, found potential suppliers and formed new friendships.

What a brilliant way to spend a few hours without having to tackle the dreaded A34!!

Networking myth BUSTED!

You don't need to be everywhere to get visible!

You just have to be in the rooms where people will REALLY learn about you and then take your message into the rooms you can't be in.

They'll be your walking, talking, FREE brand ambassadors!

The women in our Athena tribe are the type of women who have no hesitation in talking about you behind your back to the people who need to know who you are and how you can help them.

If you're currently exhausting yourself trying to be everywhere, perhaps I have a more effective approach to share with you?

Last Saturday I had the delight of supporting Alice of Baked by Alice Louisa at her pop-up cafe. Not only because there was DELICIOUS cake on offer, but because I got to watch her in action. She's a gorgeous human and it's so lovely to watch her flourishing.

What I wasn't expecting though, was to see so many ladies that I've met through Athena! Some of who I hadn't seen for a while, some I'd seen online only that week. All of who turned up to share their support with one of their tribe (one lady came all the way from Clacton!) and all of who I loved reconnecting with.

It reminded me just how strong our community is and how privileged I am to have so many brilliant connections. And how lucky I was to get SO MANY hugs!

If you're not in, you're missing out! Come and join us for a meeting sometime, and feel that energy for yourself - you won't regret it!

🥳🥳 10 absolutely FANTASTIC years!! 🥳🥳

I'm having to pinch myself this morning as I celebrate my 10th anniversary of leading Athena groups!

TEN. WHOLE. YEARS!!

It feels impossible, and I feel a bit lost for words, if I'm honest.

What I can, hand on heart say, is that I'm a different woman to the Anna who started out in 2016. And that's down to the extraordinary women I'm surrounded with, supported and inspired by, and who have become an intrinsic part of my story.

I cannot fully express how grateful I am for those women and the experiences we've had together. Even the more challenging ones (maybe more on that in another post, because today is a day to celebrate)

I never imagined that any role could be this rewarding. I didn't know such a thing existed. But, I am so incredibly grateful the opportunity came along at the time it did and that I had the courage to say YES! Something that corporate Anna would have run from.

To EVERYONE I've met, worked with, been supported by, inspired and even parted ways with because things didn't align - THANK YOU! You're part of my story and I will always be grateful for the part you took in getting me to where and who I am today.

To my current members, I CANNOT wait to celebrate with you on the 30th 🍰

Here's to what's next - I hope it's even more fabulous!
