🤍 Here’s me yesterday in my chef’s whites starting my new career with !
🤍 No, I’m not becoming a chef but part of the training is in the kitchen itself, the ‘beating heart’ 💓 of the business. I had fun actually making some of Raymond’s recipes myself yesterday from the Chef’s Recipe Folder.
🤍 I’m thrilled to bits to be working for such an incredible brand and as part of the that plans on opening 60 upmarket inns with brasseries and rooms in the next 3 years (1 of which I plan on running.)
🤍 After spending the last THIRTY YEARS writing about the hospitality industry I decided to put my money where my mouth is and actually work in it. And if you’re going to do it, do it with THE BEST, right? It just goes to show that life really does begin at 50!

I start training for my new career with The Heartwood Collection/Brasserie Blanc next Monday at The Highwayman in Berkhamstead. Here's a picture of Raymond Blanc himself training the chef's there last year!
I'll be starting off in the kitchen there, then going to Brasserie Blanc on London's South Bank to complete my Front of House and Management training, carrying over four weeks in total.
I'M SO FRICKING EXCITED!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
