🌊 On Saturday 31st August & Sunday 1st September, Morecambe’s beautiful seafront sets the stage for a spectacular celebration of 20th-century art and culture from the roaring 20s & onwards! 🌟

🎶 Whether you are into swing, rockabilly, mod, soul, funk, disco, ska, film, art, or design—or simply love to dress up for the day— this joyous creative feast for all ages is for you. The festival celebrates music, fashion, film, art, design, and dance from the 1920s to the 1990s, with a focus on glamour and head-turning style. ✨

You can expect a weekend bursting with live performances, music, dance, classic cars 🚗, vintage marketplaces, DJ sets 🎧, and stylish fashion parades.
Be ready to dive into fabulous workshops, street theatre, pop-up dance lessons 💃, and a stunning showcase of classic cars.

🌊 Discover the Arnside Tidal Bore 🌊

Look out for one of natures wonders, the tidal wave caused by the surge of the incoming tide meeting resistance from the sands and channels of the bay. As the sun, moon, wind & height can all affect the height and speed of the bore, it’s almost impossible to predict when it will be, but it is said that the tide can sometimes come in as fast as a galloping horse! 🐎 🌊

For the best views head to Arnside Promenade 1.5-2hrs before high water or anywhere along the pier or coastal path. Remember the bore can be sudden and powerful so be alert and watch from safe locations!

Who remembers the thrills, laughter, and unforgettable moments at Frontierland in Morecambe? From the exhilarating rides to the wild western-themed shows, this iconic amusement park was a cherished gem of our childhood. Also when we seemed to get nice blue skies and some sunshine ☀️

🔔 The Time & Tide Bell 🔔

Scattered across the UK, the Time & Tide Bells are a series of public art installations created by sculptor Marcus Vergette to symbolise a collective concern about climate change and the impact of rising sea levels.

The bells are designed to be rung by the movement of the sea, as the tide rises and rings the bell, it serves as a reminder of the threats imposed by climate change, both locally and globally 🌍 🌊

Each bell is described by the sculptor as “a gift to the host community” - intended to be owned and maintained by the local community.

By integrating art with nature, the bells create a poignant and persistent reminder of the ongoing changes in our world.
