7 months ago, a mere few weeks before the UK lockdown came in to effect as a result of Covid-19, we started our small family run business building websites, and providing SEO and Digital Marketing services.
As with many small business', we were affected greatly by the Covid-19 pandemic, with clients pulling out of agreed projects and us losing contracts that we had secured. It seemed the wrong time to start, but it's what we love, so we pushed on through.
Two weeks ago, Databox published an article detailing the Top 43 (I'm not sure why it's 43 🤷♂️) SEO Companies that they recommend, and Famlee Digital was ranked at #12. Digital Marketing can be a minefield, as can SEO, so we couldn't be more proud to be featured on any such list, let alone be #12. You can read the article, here; https://databox.com/best-seo-agencies (Side note - We don't class ourselves as an agency!)
Our founder, Pete, began his career in content and digital marketing, 10 years ago after falling in to it by accident after getting a job in sales. He worked for one of the most respected motocross retailers in the country, and helped their growth huge amounts. From there, his passion for SEO and all things content began to flourish and ultimately developed in to starting his own business after quitting his job with one of the biggest health and safety retailers in the world. While we have a long way to go (with our eyes on the #1 spot), being put at No. 12 on a list of such well-respected SEO companies is pretty remarkable, especially after just 7 months, and being just a small company in the Cotswolds.
This post is just to serve as a thank you, to everybody. Clients who's story we have been a part of, and everybody who has liked, commented or shared. It is appreciated, and helps more than we can explain. We love to see local businesses thrive, which is exactly why we brought in our lockdown offer for £250 websites, and £20 website audits. We want local businesses to succeed, which is why we enjoy working with them as well as global brands.
