So folks, this is my latest brand design project for Nicola at Eva's Covers Event Styling. I wanted the emblem style logo to ‘ooze sophistication’ and create the perfect watermark overlay for Nicola's stunning event creations 😍. No time to do the hair this morning 🤷‍♀️....straight into being a busy bee & doing what I am passionate about! Wee **artwork job** for local business **Loch Ness Honey Company**....they wanted their colour logo (not my design btw) redrawn in black & white for printing onto boxes & tape.🐝😋

Kelly knew exactly what she wanted from her logo design, and gave a lot of input by supplying me with loads of inspiration......It sure did take me to another visual world I never knew existed!! I soon got to know that Kelly took her cake making inspiration from the Kraken, Harry Potter, Brian Fround & pirates, so she wanted a logo which reflected this exciting aged and mysterious imagery. My design mission was to accomplish that, so I set to work with my pirating head on, and managed to perfect the art of etchiness. The final design is based on a shield like idea, and the Kraken octopus imagery which motivated Kelly's creative style. I added the cake sculpting tools to the grasp of the Octopus tentacles to complete this mystical identity.

The most memorable design brief ever!.... but clear direction is the best thing ever, and this is the final creation for this Kraken, Harry Potter, Brian froud, Lord of the rings, pirate loving Sugar Artist from Aberdeenshire, the best lockdown project ever!
