It was great to facilitate a workshop yesterday of Lichfield District tourism partners and to launch a reinvigoration into the visitor brand and place-shaping strategy for the area.

There are some wonderful destination locations in Lichfield and so many opportunities to share the message to attract more visitors to the city and surrounding areas.

I love working with the team Lichfield District Council as they look to change how local government deliver services and I am looking forward to seeing the changes being implemented for positive good.

A little over 12 months ago we took the huge decision to set up a Specialist Marketing Consultancy - The LaunchBox Ltd (in the middle of a global pandemic)...
..and we are so happy that we took the leap of faith.

It has been lots of hard work, learning new skills and refreshing existing ones, making new friends and building business relationships based on trust, openness and respect. It really has been wonderful.

In a recent Directors' meeting we looked back at our first year in business and thought it only right to celebrate the positive impact that we have made on businesses, charities and NFPs over the past 12 months.

Like so many people, we were saddened and sickened to see the footage of Kurt Zouma kicking his cat. It is reprehensible. It made our hearts sink. The swathe of public outcry demonstrates just how angry the UK public is (as are we). Animals deserve so much better. Those cats should be removed from that household ASAP. We’d go and get them now if we could, but what we can hope for is that the right action is taken to protect those cats who deserve love, compassion and a happy, healthy life with people who appreciate, value and recognise the huge role animals play in human life. We’ve signed the petition – will you?

Prosecute Kurt Zouma & remove all his animals to a place of safety immediately!

We have had a very busy start to 2022 and we love helping clients and charities to drive income and engagement. However we have a wee conundrum! Do we get an office or not.

On the one hand it is great not to have the overheads and maintenance demands of an office, but on the other we miss across the desk interactions and quick decision making you can achieve by working together as a team. Working from home has been fabulous and the option for a split week would be perfect but does it make sense to invest in a physical office space when we have worked incredibly well across video messaging? We have to admit that it is a conversation we have but don't yet have the answer to. We can see the pros and cons of both.

What are your thoughts on our dilemma? When did you make the decision to invest in a physical office or have you decided to work from home with all the benefits that it brings?
