For the second time this week, I've spotted more than one of my logo designs used together! 👀👌

I spotted this new sign in the reception of Coddington C of E Primary School this morning, which obviously has the logo I created for them a few years ago, but also features the Minster Trust for Education logo I created many, many years ago whilst still at 😊👍

As is now tradition, this morning I marked the anniversary of first launching the Brand Newark design studio in exactly the same way I did 8 years ago... by attending and introducing myself at the January meeting of the Newark Business Club (UK)

I'd like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone involved at the Club and to the many clients and friends I've had the pleasure of working with over those years, you've been an integral part of my business journey so far, and I'd like to wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2025! 🙌🥳✨️

And proof, if proof were needed, that creativity can be applied in so many weird and wonderful ways... I've fashioned a number 8 out of two iced doughnuts from the Newark Lidl bakery! 🍩🍩😋

If you'd like to add a little fun and creativity to your business, I'm always open to conversations and collaborations! I might even bring doughnuts! 😊

I can't say that having my design on a Christmas Jumper was ever on my bucket list, but this morning at the Newark Business Club, I managed to tick it off anyway! ✅️😄👌

It was fantastically festive meeting this morning. It was so good to see the local business community coming together once again (after missing the last few meetings) and in such great spirits.

We received this lovely thank you gift from yesterday, who are celebrating their first birthday 🎉 🙌

As you can see, it caused quite the commotion in the studio 😄

Can't believe it's a full year since creating their identity and website. Thanks once again to for being such a fantastic client to work with 🙌

Not only is it a tasty looking treat, it's also a perfect reminder to finally get around to adding more recent projects to the Brand Newark website. 😊

Say hello to Sam 👋

Sam is not only a great local plumber and genuinely nice guy, he also perfectly represents the kind of local business people Brand Newark is here to support!

Taking his 10 years of experience in the plumbing trade (I know... he doesn't look old enough 😉) and deciding it was to time to go his own way.

He already had the skills and connections to get things started, he just needed the basic foundations of an identity and a simple, functional website from which he can begin to build his new business and find new clients.

Creating a clean and recognisable logo to easily identify who he is when he's out and about, featured on his work wear, etc, and then building a new website so potential customers can easily find out all they need to know when looking for him online or on social.

Does it tote? Hell yeah it does!! 🙌

I love being involved with local community based projects here in my hometown of Newark. In fact, I launched the Brand Newark studio to do just that. This is why having the opportunity to work on the Newark Book Festival branding last year was the perfect project for me! 📚

As well as updating the core NBF logo and brand assets, I also created the identity for their Young Ambassadors Programme. Which was fantastic on both a personal and professional level as my eldest daughter (who's quite the bookworm) became one of the Ambassadors and represented the festival at some of the events and proudly wore her YA branded t-shirt throughout the weekend.

I'm less involved with the festival this year, but I was asked to produce this tote bag, looking particularly splendid on my studio bookshelf 👀👌

The future's so bright... I gotta wear shades 😎

A recent logo refresh for the Future First Careers Expo. An annual event organised by the Newark and Sherwood District Council that creates the opportunity for secondary school students from the region to meet and be inspired by local businesses as well as the chance to chat to FE and HE providers.

This was such a fantastic locally focussed project to work on alongside Veronica Dennant at the NSDC, and I hope to be there myself at the event in November.
