I know, I know, nobody wants to hear this truth, especially not when the kids have only just gone back!

However what you do now is going to make your December easier, and future you will be grateful.

If you’re a product business you’ll want to:

🟠 Order stock & packaging

🟠 Check posting dates & prices

🟠 Check carrier bag supplies

🟠 Apply for Christmas markets

🟠 Take photos of your Christmas products

🟠 Draft Christmas pages on your website

🟠 Plan when you’ll send your newsletters

If you’re a service business you’ll want to:

🟠 Check your clients needs over Christmas

🟠 Book networking events to attend.

🟠 Consider running offers over Christmas

🟠 Plan your holiday business hours

🟠 Schedule socials for your busiest times

There will be a lot more to think about I am sure, but these are a few things to get help you get ahead.

By making a start early, you can give yourself some time to breathe in the October/November madness.

A love letter to my new work-from-home space 💌 Agnes

Dear Agnes, I’m so excited to be moving into you today. I’ve enjoyed spending time here over the summer, writing and crafting. But it’s finally time to move in properly.

I’m looking forward to wending my way down the garden path, cup of tea in hand, to start my working day in your cosy and welcoming presence.

I’ve already noticed that you bring a sense of calm to my work, and I feel immediately at ease when I’m here.

I’m eagerly awaiting watching the garden adapt as the season changes, from the comfort of my desk. Thank you for making that possible.

September’s arrived - a new month full of possibilities 🧡

I’ve always loved September and the excitement of a new term/chapter/season. Often it was because it also meant new pens, a pencil case and notebooks!

What does this month bring for you? Are you excited to get some routine back after the summer hols? Maybe this is the month you go on holiday or start a new job? Or perhaps you’re stationery fan like me?

It’s so easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of summer.

School term finishing, planning and packing for holidays and before you know it you’re knee deep in post-holiday laundry with hourly snack demands from your mini-me and you have no idea where you put your ear buds (which you desperately need for a moment of calm!). Sound familiar?

Prioritising time for your own self care can be really hard. I know because I’ve been there.

When your self-care routine is squeezed between dishwasher loads and consists of nothing more than a tepid glass of wine and a half hour nap on the sofa when you really ought to go to bed, perhaps it’s time to have a re-think.

Sadly I am not a fairy godmother and I cannot wave away the dirty dishes and piles of laundry, however I can encourage you to put yourself first, carve out some time for yourself and put some ice in your wine glass 😂

I find gamifying and giving myself rewards really help me and I’m hoping they will help you too. Give me a sticker chart and the promise of a gold star and suddenly any task seems more achievable.

My hope is you’ll print them off, stick them above your desk, or on the fridge and enjoy the challenge of some gamified self-care!
