Introduction from CEO James Page

Our business is all about the connection. The physical connection between a satellite and a teleport or an optical fibre cable and a home. We often talk about the connection between physical components in a system or network - is there interoperability? But we are also about connecting with our clients, the media and the sector we operate in. That's why, this month, we've been to Cologne for ANGA COM - spending time with our clients, talking to key industry stakeholders, maintaining and updating our knowledge and understanding of the telecoms sector. It's why we've been at the Subsea Security Summit in London to speak to businesses building solutions for keeping undersea cables safe and ensuring global connectivity is maintained. And it’s why next month our teams will be out in Milan and Portland with the BBF and TCG, respectively.

We travel the world to make sure we are the most connected PR and marketing agency in the telecoms sector and we bring the global insights we gain to our clients and to anyone reading our blogs or listening to our podcasts. If you want to get really connected, just get in touch. Have a great month!

Why your AI visibility strategy can't be one-size-fits-all

Visibility within Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT is shaping how companies get discovered, described and evaluated daily. One thing is becoming clear from where we sit: a one-size-fits-all approach to discoverability won't work. Each model retrieves, prioritises and processes differently.....

April Newsletter

Introduction from CEO James Page

Welcome back, and a very happy May Day weekend to those celebrating. As we move into spring, there is a real sense of energy across the team here at Proactive International PR, with another busy and productive April.

This month marked the second anniversary of our Connected Communications podcast. Since launching in 2024, it has tracked some of the most important shifts across PR and technology. In the latest episode, Conor Woodhall and Cal Dunnington reflected on how the landscape has evolved and what it means for the future of communications, as well as the PRCA’s new definition for public relations.

It was also a key month for the fibre sector, with the team once again on site, supporting the FTTH Council Europe at their annual conference – this time in London. The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with industry leaders, capture content and support clients across a busy few days of activity.

Alongside this, the SSGS Awards opened for entries, recognising the organisations and individuals driving innovation across the satellite ground segment sector. Having supported the event since its inception in 2024, SSGS is emerging as one of the key industry highlights in the calendar, and we are looking forward to seeing this year’s submissions.

We also continued to build our thought leadership output with two new blogs during the month. One explored the accelerating pace of copper switch off across Europe and what it means for operators navigating the transition to full fibre. The other examined how organisations can improve visibility in AI driven environments, and why understanding how different models work is key to becoming part of the information ecosystem they trust.

With strong momentum carried into the second quarter, I am looking forward to what lies ahead and to sharing more updates with you in the months to come.

What is a copper switch-off, and why does it matter?

Across the globe, fibre networks continue to lead the way when it comes to reliable, future-proof connectivity.
