Wonderful day relaxing at Exbury Gardens first ever Wellness Festival.
Designed to help people pause, reset and reconnect with nature.
Lots of free drop-in sessions including Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, Sound Therapy and breathwork, all led by experienced teachers.
Tried my hand at making Kokedama, Japanese-inspired moss-wrapped ornamental plant balls, which was great fun. There’s also 1:1 massage and guided relaxation. All taking place in a large Festival Marquee on the lawns at Exbury surrounded by the Gardens in their June prime.
On again tomorrow Sunday 14 June - if you are in the area, give it a visit for the most relaxing day 💚

One of the country’s largest historic rock gardens is back, thanks to an incredible seven-year restoration project.
Once hidden beneath overgrown trees and lost pathways ,this 1600 m² historic landscape has been brought back to life with more than 10,000 new plants (assisted by Kevock Garden Plants), restored waterfalls, dramatic rock formations and rare Alpine treasures. Originally created in 1914, the Rock Garden is now ready to inspire a new generation of visitors. And who better to officially open it but Newby’s long-time friend Gyles Brandreth 💚

Anyone else ‘get’ this? Fascinating landscaping around the Louvre Lens museum in northern France, an area renowned for its mining past.
Of course the galleries were fantastic but the gardens were what I will remember 💚

Kim Cattrall, Kate Garraway, Advolly Richmond & Anthea Turner were just some of the many people admiring the fabulous Plant Heritage Missing Collector Garden today at RHS Chelsea Flower Show press day.
Designed by the Planting Design Collective and supported by Project Giving Back, its beautiful plants and stunning bronze cast of the Full Grown Gatti Chair proved quite the draw.
And on a prime spot at the end of Main Avenue in the showground 💚

The hugely talented designer Sarah Eberle and some of the wonderful team who have helped her create The Campaign to Protect Rural England Garden: On the Edge at RHS Chelsea.
Tomorrow is press day and we’re looking forward to showing the garden to media and telling its story - highlighting the threatened green spaces on the fringes of towns and cities and a new campaign calling for it to be protected.

Visitors to Exbury Gardens in the New Forest are being treated to a spectacular display as its eye-catching wisteria in the Sundial Garden reaches its 100th year and bursts into full bloom.
The wisteria is draped across a Portland Stone pergola and it’s currently at its peak and expected to flower for at least another week or so.
The century old plant is maintained by senior gardener Agnes who spends an entire day every January/February meticulously pruning the climber to encourage the maximum number of blooms each spring.
It’s a wonderful example of the living legacy Lionel de Rothschild created at Exbury. The Sundial Garden along with its Portland Stone pergola and wisteria was one of Lionel‘s earliest projects at Exbury back in the 1920s.
