WHY DESIGN30FIVE?
I want to share my gifts in the field of art & design to help enhance your life.
I believe our innate talents are divinely given and it is my heart's desire to use my skills and talents to bring joy, to bring abundance of life to others.
The Bible says, "He has filled them with skill to do all manner of work of an engraver and the designer and the tapestry maker." This is found in Exodus 35:35. Hence design30FIVE. Chapter 35. Verse 35. That's why the number 'thirty five' was used.
You may notice that the business logo says 30:FIVE. Thirty, colon, five. Well, there's another place in the Bible that says, "In His favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." A beautiful verse. That's Psalm (pronounced 'sarm') chapter 30 verse 5, written as Psalm 30:5 - thirty, colon, five.
The vision of design30FIVE was formed and the business launched as we came out of our national lockdown period. It was a tough period for many, in many ways. I too was going through a set of circumstances that could have threatened to crush me. But, no. I kept my head up: joy comes in the morning (there's light after the night).
Some of the things I offer, like portraits of loved ones, pets or even tiny babies that are at rest, bring some light, comfort where there has been grief and loss. Life is precious. Life is enhanced with hope and good memories, and beauty.
My vision for the future is that design30FIVE will be a team of artists, designers who can all share their collective gifts to enhance the lives of many people across the world. We will work with various manufacturers, companies and tech to put the 'design30FIVE' mark of enhancement on many things.
it's not just about watercolour paintings or logo designs. I imagined looking at my living room and seeing the TV - that had had the influence of design30FIVE during its design. Even the fire surround had had the 'final touches' that made it perfect just for you. This vision has burned in my heart. This is the beginning. But it's going to increase and you can be a part right at the start and help this to grow. How?
