Here's a behind the scenes at MTJD... lights on, cameras rolling, conversations flowing.

We love creating space to share the thinking behind the work we’re involved in and the purpose that drives it.

Because when you love what you do, and you focus on purposeful projects, every day brings something worth talking about.

Another project with real purpose that we were proud to have added our creativity to.

There’s a side of business we rarely see on a balance sheet.

Not just profit.
But presence.
Not just revenue.
But reputation.
Not just growth.
But goodness.

At MTJD, we help organisations articulate the impact they create that can’t be measured in pounds and pence.

⚖️ Ethical leadership
🌱 Environmental integrity
🏘️ Social responsibility
🫱🏽‍🫲🏼 Genuine community partnership

These things are not intangible.
They’re just harder to quantify.
And that’s where we come in.

We’ve spent years shaping brand stories that illuminate more than just what a company does—but who it is.

When a business takes responsibility for its place in the world, our job is to make sure the world feels that impact.

Because when brands lead with integrity, people don’t just buy from them.
They believe in them.

At MTJD, we believe marketing should feel like truth-telling.
It’s not about shouting louder—it’s about creating something so aligned, so emotionally resonant, that your audience sees it and says:

“Yes. That’s for me.”

That’s exactly what we set out to do in our recent work with Epworth Investment Management, as they launched a powerful new partnership with Christian Aid.

This wasn't just about launching a fund.
It was about launching a message—one that spoke to the heart of ethical investment and collective faith in action.

🌊 A ripple of positive change.
🕊️ United in faith and action.
🌍 Investing in today, to transform tomorrow.

From concept to creative, we helped shape a brand story that lives beyond the page—and into people’s values. Because when a brand is rooted in purpose, growth doesn’t feel like a push.
It becomes a pull.

It turns customers into fans.
Fans into advocates.
And advocates into your most powerful storytellers.

This is the power of holistic marketing: where design meets belief, and business meets meaning.

Let’s keep building brands people believe in.

At MTJD, we don’t just design for design’s sake— we design to make a difference. (We are More Than Just Design)

One of the projects that truly reminded us why we do what we do was Bee Free — a collaboration with Keele University, the NHS, Mind & Haywood Foundation.

💬 The goal? To create a scalable brand and website that would become a trusted hub for people living with long-term pain and mental health challenges. But this wasn’t just about making something look good — it was about making it work for real people.

We worked with patients, with clinicians, and with researchers to understand what they needed. Every colour, word, and interaction was crafted through insight and empathy — to ensure the brand spoke to its audience, not at them.

This is the kind of impact that fuels us.
This is why we’re here.

Some projects stick with you—not just for the creativity, but for the meaning behind the message.

One of those moments for us was supporting the launch of a powerful partnership between Epworth Investment Management and Christian Aid.

This wasn't just about investments—it was about faith in action. A campaign built around the tagline “Invest Today. Transform Tomorrow.”, bringing to life a shared vision for a more just, sustainable world.

🌍 Through bold visuals, strategic messaging, and a carefully crafted launch handout, we helped communicate how ethical investment can create lasting global impact—addressing issues like poverty, inequality, and climate justice.

💬 What made this extra special? It aligned perfectly with our own mission at MTJD:
To use thoughtful design and communication to support purpose-driven organisations and amplify the change they’re making in the world.

Design has the power to plant seeds of transformation—and this campaign reminded us why we do what we do.

Thoughtful Thursday: The latest trend in marketing isn’t more words. It’s fewer, smarter visuals that speak directly to your audience — instantly. 👀✨

🧠 In 2025, attention spans are shrinking, and audiences are scrolling faster. What stops them?
✅ Imagery that knows who they are
✅ Design that resonates emotionally
✅ Messages that are understood in seconds

This isn’t just aesthetics — it’s strategy.
Visual storytelling is now being used to speak the language of your audience, whether it’s through:

🔁 Relatable motion graphics

🎨 Simplified data visualisation

🖼️ Personalised illustrations or imagery

📱 Vertical, mobile-first design layouts

💡 Audiences want to feel seen — not just marketed to.
And when you get it right? They engage, they connect, they act.

We call it human-centred design in motion.
And it’s not just a trend — it’s the future.

🎯 Wednesday Why: Psychology in Design – Gestalt Principles
“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”

Ever looked at a advert, flyer or website and instantly understood what it was communicating?—without even knowing why?

That's Gestalt at work. 👁️‍🗨️✨

🧠 Why this matters:
Gestalt psychology teaches us that people naturally group visual elements into larger, meaningful patterns. Our brains crave structure and unity—so when we apply Gestalt principles in design, we create visuals that feel intuitive, organised, and instantly understood.

🔍 Think:
➕ Proximity = relatedness
🔲 Similarity = unity
✂️ Closure = completed ideas
🔁 Continuity = natural flow

💡 Whether it’s a brand identity, advertising campaign, website interface, or printed brochure—using Gestalt principles helps your audience see the message faster and remember it longer.

Great design isn’t just about what’s on the surface—it’s how it’s perceived.

**Friday Fun Fact: The Rule of Three in Design**

Logos like Adidas and Domino's thrive on the Rule of Three! This principle makes designs more engaging and memorable, leveraging our preference for triadic groupings. Simple yet powerful—don’t overlook its effectiveness!

💬 Monday Muse: Design with Deep Purpose

Some projects leave a lasting mark — not just because of their design challenges, but because of the deep human stories behind them. ✨

We had the privilege of working with The Salvation Army Family Tracing Service, a project rooted in justice, reconciliation, and restoring family connections that many thought were lost forever. ❤️

🎯 The goal?
To promote this life-changing service to users, donors, and The Salvation Army community — and to do it in a way that is clear, compassionate, and accessible to everyone, including those who may struggle with reading.

🧠 That meant thinking deeply about:

Clarity of message – ensuring every element, from leaflet to banner, communicates at a glance.

Emotional tone – balancing hope with sensitivity.

Visual hierarchy – guiding the eye to the heart of the message: reuniting families transforms lives.

🌍 This service is more than outreach — it’s about restoring dignity, rewriting stories, and reuniting people with pieces of themselves.

We’re incredibly proud to support work that carries such meaning and to use thoughtful design to amplify missions that change lives.
