Do you plan your social media content? It might sound too time-consuming for a busy business owner, but you'll be surprised to know it can actually save you time.
By setting time aside to plan your social media content, you'll spend less time mindlessly scrolling and wondering what to post about. You won't panic-post any old nonsense, either.
You might find you come up with some great ideas when you set time aside to plan. All you need is a simple calendar-style spreadsheet. You can make it as basic or as detailed as you like.
My top tips for content planning are:
1. Add in any business anniversaries or events you have coming up
2. Research awareness days/weeks and key holidays that might be relevant to your business. For example, a florist could use Mother's Day as a hook to showcase products
3. Consider which format would work best for each piece of content you schedule. Do you have good quality images, or could you make a fun video? If it's a subject you can really delve into, do you have a blog function on your website that you could use?
There's no denying that this still takes time, though it's definitely worth the investment. If you're simply too busy and need some help with your content plan, get in touch and we can have a chat about how I could help.
