We’re delighted to announce that our campaign work with First Bus has won at the annual Prolific North Marketing Awards! 🥳

🏆 Best Use of Data and Insights
🏆 Best Mid-Range Budget campaign

We were up against tough competition in these categories, featuring some of the best and brightest agencies across the North, so we’re blown away that our campaign took the top spot!

Our goal was to build a data-driven channel strategy to boost bus patronage across the First Bus network, promoting the convenience and reliability of local routes and getting more people on board. 🚌

Huge thanks to our partners on this campaign, the creatives at Cravens and of course the First Bus teams, including Lucy M. and Jennifer Bartlett, who give us the freedom to deliver such impactful work.

And what a night of celebration for the team! This year, the ceremony took place for the first time at Trafford, home of Manchester United ⚽️ That’s two in the back of the net for Ben Dascombe, Martyn King, and Kane Elgey

🙌 It’s great to be back in the office! 🙌

Now that the whole team has returned from their holidays (where did summer go 🌞?) we’ve been swapping anecdotes with clients and colleagues, after a summer full of fun!

☀️ Work/life balance is important to us here at Route and many of the team took some well-deserved time off to enjoy some sunshine, new experiences and to recharge our batteries with friends and family.

From sunny shores to festivals, sporting events to gigs, venturing out with the family and relaxing, we’re ready to welcome autumn and the exciting campaigns we have lined up for our clients. 🍂

Time for some team building! Yesterday, Team Route took some time out of our busy office to plan for the year ahead, setting our vision for the next 12 months, and enjoying some fun together.

In the afternoon, we all headed to the beautifully refurbished Wizu Workspace at Portland House in Newcastle city centre. As well as our team based in Newcastle, we were joined by our Non-Executive Director Gareth Turner alongside Ben Dascombe and Theo Daffurn, who travelled up from our Brighton office.

🎳 Later in the day, our competitive sides came out with bowling and darts at Lane 7 followed by food, drinks and lots of fun. Thanks to all the team for their contributions to the afternoon, we’re looking forward to what the year ahead holds. 🚀

It’s always great to catch up with our clients and project partners over a video call, but even better when we can get in the same room together. So much can be achieved when we share and build on ideas while sat around the same table. 🤝

Earlier this week we met with Stop Smoking London, London To***co Alliance, Gardiner Richardson and Bloom Digital for our quarterly planning meeting.

We got through a packed agenda, delving into campaign assets, communication delivery and activation, and discussing how we can reach and engage with our audiences even more effectively, setting us up for the upcoming months.

What a launch event! Well done, Prolific North, for kicking off the inaugural Northern Marketing Festival in style at the Catalyst at Newcastle Helix in Newcastle today (with Leeds and Manchester to follow this week.) ✨

Our team had a brilliant time catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones, getting up to speed with the latest sector developments and celebrating the award-winning work coming out of the region.

There were plenty of great insights, too, thanks to the diverse range of industry speakers, from Alexandra Balazs, Dan Appleby at Drummond Central, Helen Jeremiah former CMO and VP Marketing Director at Walgreens Boots Alliance and Michael Pagan, Managing Director at Blue Moon Marketing, to name a few.

There’s no doubt that the North East is a growing hub for the creative, digital, and tech sectors. May this first festival be the start of many.

This World No To***co Day, we’re celebrating our ongoing partnership with Stop Smoking London, an organisation dedicated to supporting those who are trying to quit smoking.

This year, the World Health Organization’s World No To***co Day is giving a voice to the young people impacted by the production or marketing of to***co.

We’re helping Stop Smoking London amplify this important message all year round through a series of organic and paid social campaigns, which will help the organisation reach its target audience and deliver its message with impact.
