From file to print, start to finish 🎨

We start by getting your artwork set up properly (makes all the difference), then it’s onto the giclée printers where it really starts to come alive. From there, it goes through the Zünd for a clean cut, then the prints are carefully packed up by hand, ready to head out.

A lot goes into it behind the scenes, but it’s all about doing your work justice in print.

You can now order giclée prints straight through our website, or just drop us a message if you want to chat it through.

What do you do when an artwork is painted on both sides of the canvas? 🎨

Our in-house framer came up with this ingenious solution, allowing the piece to be displayed from either side while still being beautifully framed and ready to hang. It’s projects like these that show how bespoke framing can become part of the artwork itself, not just something that surrounds it.

Got an unusual artwork or framing challenge? Get in touch — we love finding creative solutions and would be happy to discuss what’s possible for your project.

Earlier this year, some of our team were lucky enough to visit the Canson paper mill in Annonay, France. Alongside touring the modern production facilities, we also explored the paper-making museum, and even had a go at the traditional process, with Caspar getting hands-on!

It was a real privilege to see behind the scenes of how many of the papers we work with are made, from heritage techniques through to modern innovation.

Our in-house framing department can take on projects of every scale, from treasured personal pieces to large bespoke commissions.

This striking artwork by , commissioned by for The London Memorial Hospital in South Kensington, was carefully framed by our team in a solid wood white box frame. At over two metres long, it required precision handling and expert craftsmanship throughout.

Whether you’re framing an original artwork, a print, or a large statement piece, we’d love to help. Get in touch to discuss your next framing project.

We love working with artists to create something truly special. This one-off commission for brought together both our printing and framing teams to produce a layered acrylic piece with real depth and presence.

Having everything under one roof made the process seamless. The acrylic was precision-cut by our framing team, printed on our flatbed, and then returned to framing for final assembly — carefully layering each element to build the finished work.

Looking to create a ready-to-hang piece? Get in touch — we’d love to help bring your idea to life.

The quality of a print starts long before the ink touches the paper. It begins with the image capture of the original artwork. 📸

Professional artwork photography ensures every subtle colour shift, brushstroke and texture is preserved, giving you the best possible foundation for high-quality prints. Using specialist equipment, each pixel is captured with exceptional accuracy so the finished print remains faithful to the original work.

If you’re planning to turn your artwork into prints, starting with a professional photograph can make all the difference.

Watching a giclée print come to life at this scale never gets old 🎸

These life-size guitar prints are running on the roll through one of our giclée printers — which means we can print virtually any length you need. Whether it’s exhibition pieces, oversized editions, or statement installations, printing from the roll gives us the flexibility to go big.

And if you need to go even larger? Our flatbed printers can handle rigid media at an even greater scale.

Big ideas deserve the space to be seen properly.

You can now order giclée prints directly through our online portal — quick, simple, and studio-quality.

Head to the link to get started or get in touch to discuss your next large-scale project.

Drawing on over 40 years of printmaking expertise, Harwood King Printmakers, the UK-based Canson® Infinity Certified Print Lab, specialises in producing exhibition-quality giclée prints for artists and photographers. Precision colour management lies at the heart of their process, ensuring that tonal accuracy, depth and detail are faithfully translated from screen to paper.

For photographers, surface and tonal range are paramount. Papers such as Canson® Infinity Platine Fibre Rag offer exceptional Dmax and smooth gradation, while Somerset® Enhanced Velvet White paper (330 gsm) provides a tactile, mould-made finish for a softer, more refined appearance.

Every print undergoes careful in-house inspection and finishing, whether it is precision-cut using a Zünd system or hand-torn to achieve a traditional deckled edge.

By working with trusted, archival-quality papers, Harwood King can deliver museum-standard results that meet the expectations of photographers and artists.

Sometimes one colour is all you need.

A single-ink silkscreen has a clarity and confidence that’s hard to replicate. It puts the emphasis exactly where it should be — on your line work, your composition, your decisions.

For artists, that simplicity can be powerful. One carefully chosen ink. One layer. Every detail considered. The result is bold, intentional and beautifully tactile.

Each edition is hand-pulled in our studio, working closely with the artist to refine density, paper choice, and finish — whether that’s a crisp graphic feel or something softer and more nuanced.

If you’re thinking about translating a drawing or painting into a one-colour edition, we’d love to explore it with you.

A new mark for a bigger story.

Over the past few years, we’ve been expanding what we do in order to support artists with the steps beyond the reproduction of their work. One of the most significant changes has been the introduction of our in-house framing department. Many of you have already worked with our resident framer, exploring the possibilities that come from integrating framing into the creative process. As part of this effort to assist artists at every step, we offer content creation to help artists market their work. We can provide insights into the production, showcasing not only the art, but the craft that goes into each and every print. Beyond that, we’ve expanded our existing services further by opening a dedicated silkscreen studio, investing in a next generation large format flatbed printer, and launching a streamlined online ordering system for giclée printing at www.harwoodking.com/order

It felt like the right time for a change, one that reflects the growth of who we are.

Our new logo quietly carries that story, built from shapes symbolising the tools of our craft: A roll of paper and a scalpel for printmaking. A set square and staple for framing. A framed artwork tying it all together. And in the negative space you’ll spot the initials of the name that started it all, HK.

We’ve grown to help artists reproduce and share their work easier, leaving more time for the important bit, creating art.
