We're excited to welcome Holly Watson, Head of Marketing at Co-op Live, to CMO Inspired Summit North on the 30th of September at The Mere!

Holly will be joining the opening marketing panel: The CMO Under Pressure: Is Marketing Leadership Changing Faster Than Marketers Can Keep Up?

AI adoption. Privacy-driven measurement change. The rise of revenue accountability. Creator economy management. The ongoing brand versus performance tension. The demands on modern CMOs now span disciplines, channel expertise and commercial responsibilities that would have been unrecognisable to marketing leaders a decade ago, and they're all landing simultaneously on the same budget and the same leadership team. This panel asks senior marketing leaders to be honest about the pace of change: is it genuinely manageable, or are organisations expecting CMOs to be fluent in too many things at once? And if something has to give, what should it be?

Holly leads brand and marketing strategy for Co-op Live, the UK's largest indoor arena, from pre-opening and launch through to full-scale operation. She heads a multi-disciplinary in-house team across brand, integrated campaigns, CRM, digital, audience growth and commercial marketing, working closely with Commercial, Sales, Partnerships and Operations to drive footfall, revenue and fan experience.

This is one not to miss, we're so excited to have Holly on stage!

Does your team look at risk from more than one angle, or the same one, every time?

In our September CISO Magazine, Christabel Ebrill, Partnerships Lead at Women4Cyber Ireland, made the case that this isn't just a fairness argument, it's a security one. Her point: when everyone at the table approaches a problem the same way, you don't just lack representation, you lack the range of questions that actually catches risk. Different experience means different assumptions get challenged, and different blind spots get covered.

We're thrilled to welcome James Allan-McLean, Group CISO at Soletanche Freyssinet, to the stage!

Session: Leadership: Last to Speak, First to Fail
Most leadership advice tells CISOs to project authority, have the answers, and lead from the front. James offers a counterintuitive take: the strongest security leaders build teams that can make sound decisions without them in the room. Drawing on military mission command doctrine and his own experience leading global security teams, he'll unpack four disciplines for building independent judgment: speaking last, disclosing vulnerability first, testing people under pressure, and knowing your people well enough to deploy them without detailed instruction.

James leads security across all continents for Soletanche Freyssinet, a specialist civil engineering and ground technology company operating in around 100 countries, and holds CISSP, CISM, CCSP and CRISC certifications. Before moving into industry, he served as a Regular Army Officer with the UK MOD and UK Special Forces, commissioned from Sandhurst, working in cyber operations and information assurance.

Tuesday evening at Tre Dita, Chicago, set the perfect stage for a conversation every CISO needs to be having right now.

Resilience brought together senior security leaders to explore the Risk-First CISO mindset, moving beyond reactive security and using risk data to influence strategic decisions at the very top of an organisation.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to Resilience for such a compelling evening. A special thank you also to Zena Way and Julia Mercer from our team for representing Inspired Business Media on the night. Here are a few highlights 👇

We're delighted to welcome Rick Farrow, Chief Technology Officer at TSCG, to our panel discussion, Has the CIO Role Changed Forever, or Are We Just Dressing Up the Same Job?

CIO job descriptions have changed enormously in the past decade, swapping infrastructure and service delivery language for "digital transformation" and "AI strategy," but how much has actually changed underneath?

This panel invites CIOs to be honest about whether they're truly strategic business leaders, or whether the same old pressures still define where their time goes, and what that means for CIOs who came up through a technical track, and those doing so now.

With over 20 years' experience in executive technology and transformation leadership across financial services, nuclear, healthcare, property, and education, Rick has led multi-million-pound change programmes as CIO/CTO/Director of Transformation, and for the past 15 years has coached leaders on the evolving role of technology in shaping strategy and turning emerging tech into scalable, measurable value.

We cannot wait to have him on stage!

Just Tuesday, we hosted another CIO Inspired Summit in Ireland, which got us thinking back to one of the earlier ones: The K Club, Kildare, February 2023.

Among those who spoke that day were James Loutitt, Lead Trainer and Founder of Impactful Project Management, Ian Pepper, then Director of Technology Innovation at Novartis, Joanne Dineen, Digital & Technology Director at Heineken, Tony O'Donnell, then Technology Change Director at Canada Life, and Peter Craig with Human Security.

Not every speaker from the day is pictured or named here.

What hasn't changed since then is who actually makes these days work. Our team behind the scenes. Delegates willing to have honest conversations. Partners who back what we do.

Grateful for all of it, then and now.

Two big days at Carton House, Kildare.

Monday night, Ireland's top technology and security leaders sat down for an exclusive dinner with Geordan Murphy, 72 caps for Ireland and a British & Irish Lion, who spoke honestly about leadership under pressure. The right way to set the tone for what followed.

Tuesday's CIO and CISO Inspired Summit Ireland opened with two panels asking the same question from different angles: has the CIO role actually changed, and where do security budgets really go once no one's watching closely. AI shaped most of what followed, from Nasstar's case for AI that actually hits the balance sheet, to ThreatLocker's warning that shadow AI is already inside most organisations. The day closed with Stephen Conway making the case that resilience is a human problem before it's a technical one, and Michael Kidd walking through a side project that grew into a genuine security suite.

Thank you to every speaker, panellist, and delegate who made it what it was, and to our partners for helping bring it all together.

With thanks to: Geordan Murphy, Alan O'Brien, Subeer Sakssena, Derek Hickey, John Joyce, Dr Valerie Lyons, Eoin O'hEochaidh, Adnan Ahmed, Rocia Fernandes, Geraldine Powderly, Sean Morris, Jack Fisher, Seamus Lennon, Mark Cliffe, Marcelo Canha, Stephen Conway, and Michael Kidd.

What a way to close out the CISO Inspired Summit! 🎤

Michael Kidd (CCI Global) took us behind the scenes of 'Built After Hours, Used Every Day: A Side Project That Outgrew Its Bedtime, an honest look at building four purpose-built security engines (perimeter scanning, corporate intelligence, personal footprint mapping, and crisis simulation) under one roof, and what changes when a side project starts getting real-world use.

Thank you, Michael, for a brilliant close to the event!
