Six weeks. That's all that stands between me and the start line of the Cardiff Half Marathon. 🤦

I put my name on the waiting list on a bit of a whim, never once believing I'd actually get a place. Then the email landed, and suddenly this got very real.

The timing has floored me, if I'm honest. The 6th of August would have been my dad's 79th birthday. The 7th of September marks ten years since we lost him.

I'm now raising money for the British Heart Foundation so that fewer families have to carry the kind of loss ours has these last ten years. Every pound helps fund the research that gives people more time with the ones they love.

So I'm asking, friends, family, anyone reading this, if you can spare anything at all, it would mean the world.

Making memories during the school holidays.

Growing up in Essex we spent most weekends of our childhood picking fruit. I always remember going to Barleylands in Billericay and Lathcoates in Chelmsford.

In Cornwall, I don't think there's quite as many soft fruit farms, but when my son requested strawberry picking as a summer holiday activity I couldn't wait to take him. 🍓🍓🍓

HOT OFF THE PRESS - I've got space for one new PPC client.

If you know me, you'll know I keep my client list small on purpose. I'm a freelance PPC specialist, not an agency! I'd rather work properly with a handful of businesses I genuinely enjoy than spread myself thin across dozens. It's how I've kept some clients on my books for five years and more, and it's the part of this job I love most.

But here's the thing, you'll be spending a lot of time talking to me, so let me tell you who you'd actually be working with.

Outside of work you'll find me in the sea or somewhere near it. Surfing, sea swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, or trail and road running along the coast. I'm happiest outdoors and a little bit salty. I'm also a huge fan of pandas and guinea pigs, don't ask me to explain it. 🐼🐹

At work, I love ecommerce clients most of all. There's something about the pace of it, the seasonality, watching real sales tick up from work we've done, it never gets old.

And honestly? The best working relationships I've had haven't been built on PPC and SEO jargon. They've been built on two people getting on. So if you run a business, you're spending real money on Google Ads, you've got a nagging feeling it could be working harder, and you're a nice person who'd like to work with another nice person (bonus points for a love of the sea) we might just be the perfect combination.

Just good work and a good working relationship.

Wow, wow, wow.

Taking a minute to reflect on last night.

The last Eclipse I remember was from 1999, I was in Essex and watched from the front door.

Last night, we went to where we all had far too much fun on the drop slides (Adults included)

Watched the Solar Eclipse.

Danced and sang to a Becky Hill cover (My sons FAVOURITE) artist.

And ended with an incredible fireworks display. What a night to remember Eclipse 2026! ☀️🌔🌖☀️

Really enjoyed this mornings at Pentire this morning.

6.45 miles of stunning coast path, lots of loose rock and shingle under foot, lots of hills and lots of gorgeous views and LOTS of strong wind!

It was kind of refreshing to run in damp cool conditions... until I completely lost my footing and stacked it! 🙄

Slightly bruised elbow and knee, grazed hands and shoulder and somehow by back hurts... by the state of my squashed glasses case in my trail bag, I landed hard on my back like a turtle after I rolled 🐢

I've finally reached the age where I can say things like "I had a fall" 🤣

An email landed in my inbox this morning: "Barbie is moving!" 🏠

Malibu's hottest property "the Barbie DreamHouse" listed on Rightmove, complete with a "Sold STC" badge. And yes, I clicked instantly. Which is exactly the point. 🙃

We bought our house in 2025 and I've got no reason to be on Rightmove... yet I'm on there constantly. Turns out I'm not alone - reportedly 60% of users are just browsing with no intention of moving.

So is this brand marketing genius, or the start of Rightmove chipping away at what makes it the serious place to buy a home? I've written up where I landed (spoiler: firmly on the fence 😅).

It's been a celeb spotting sort of week.

Monday, pulling out of the village I drove past a very beautiful black Porsche. I was checking out the car before realising it was Gordon Ramsay 🖤

Today, excitement was high when we pulled up to our usual parking spot in New Polzeath for a dip in the sea, to find film crews filming for an episode of Grand Designs

We're currently renovating our house and have watched ever episode of Grand Designs. Many of my clients are within the home and garden sector so seeing Kevin McCloud down the road was rather exciting today. 😀

Most days my life is behind my screens, all spreadsheets, data, and strategy! 🤣 So to see some of my favourite TV personalities locally has been pretty cool..... and I couldn't resist a chat with some of the crew to name drop some of my clients products 👌

Sundays are made for long runs.

For the past 4 months I've been juggling A LOT and unable to get many miles in.

I've been building back up slowly and chuffed to bits to get 7 miles done this morning. Especially as it was super hot and it's my furthest run for months.

Thanks for today's route. Exploring bodmin moor and certainly places I've not been before. ⛰️

It's the weekend, its a scorcher, and there's nowhere else I'd rather be.

Super, incredibly greatful this beach is just 15 minutes from my home 💙

Thankful to have a surf playdate on the beach with my little guy.
