Happy Birthday Aaron Printers
38 years where as the time gone? yes I'm close to retirement, but I still enjoy my job after 13,879 days or 333,108 hours!

People often ask how I got into printing. My first job at 16 was an engineer working on Rotaprint and Heidelberg printing machines on a Youth Opportunity Training Scheme earning £16 per week for the first year and £18 for the second year, I then moved to a stationery / printing shop in Torquay (a bit like what I have now) slightly better wages 😉 and after a couple years there I made the step to set up on my own operating out of a small unit and hey presto I'm still doing it 38 years later.

Lots of memories but one that sticks out was being called into the bank to discuss my abuse of the overdraft 😆. Bob Ogle was my manger back then, we discussed cold chinese for breakfast and he described the overdraft as a Brothel - you may visit but you don't stay there 🤣. Thankfully we don't need overdrafts any more or brothels 😉

We have a great team now and Dan is taking over as I take a back seat, literally at the back of the office behind a screen! Plus he is more polite than I am always saying Dad get away from the counter, I'll sort it 🤣 and he does and long may that continue!

It's true the older you get the grumpier you become!
