Photoshoot for a debut Digital Edge album cover… or another team session with David Wilkinson Coach?

Thanks to David for joining us this week for a really honest conversation about communication, how pressure lands differently for each of us and what helps everyone do their best work.

Because a strong team is not about everyone working in the same way. It is about understanding each other well enough to communicate clearly, and support one another.

What helps your team the most when the pressure is on?

You’re looking at the highly technical blueprint behind a brilliant new video page.

Not every great website starts with a polished design… sometimes it starts with a few boxes, some labels and a herd of horses.

Tanis knew exactly how the page needed to work, Lee immediately saw the vision and there was nobody better at bringing the idea to life.

That’s teamwork: clear thinking, shared vision and the right people making it happen.

Got an idea you need turning into something brilliant? Speak to Digital Edge.

Say hello to Alison, our Director of Operations.

Alison isn’t new to Digital Edge, she’s been behind the marketing for the last few years, helping shape how we sound and how we shout about the brilliant work happening across the team.

Now, she’s stepping into her new role as Director of Operations, which means helping keep the wheels turning, the team supported and the standards high.

From client communication and internal systems to making sure good ideas actually turn into action, Alison brings clarity and a very useful ability to see what needs doing before most people have even noticed it.

She’s already been a huge part of Digital Edge’s journey, and we’re very excited to see what she brings to this next chapter.

Another one for the Digital Edge bobblehead collection. We’re starting to think they deserve their own shelf.

It's Make the Most Monday!

This week’s tip: write for the questions people actually ask.

Not the polished version you would put in a brochure. The real version.

“Do I need a new website or can I improve the one I have?”
“How much should I be spending on marketing?”
“Why is no one filling in my enquiry form?”
“Can my systems talk to each other?”
“Is my brand making my business look smaller than it is?”

That is where strong digital content starts.

Search is changing. People are not just typing keywords into Google anymore. They are asking full questions, using AI tools, comparing options and looking for answers that feel clear, useful and human.

So this week, look at your website, blog ideas, FAQs or social content and ask yourself:

Are we answering what people genuinely want to know?

Because when your content sounds like the conversation already happening in your customer’s head, you become much easier to find, trust and choose.

That is not just good copy. That is smart digital strategy.

If your digital content is not answering the questions your customers are already asking, let’s fix that - https://www.wearedigitaledge.co.uk/

Always a fab one when Simon Clayton comes in.

We had a brilliant chat about what is happening in the world of marketing, how quickly things are shifting, and how important it is to keep thinking ahead rather than just keeping up.

The more conversations we have like this, the more we realise how much of what we are already doing sits right at the forefront. As a leading Wix partner, we are not just using the platform, we are actively part of the conversations around how it works for real businesses. Our experience, feedback and insight help shape future thinking, because we are the ones seeing what clients need and where digital support can make the biggest difference.

That is something we are really proud of.

Also, please enjoy this photo of everyone looking happy, especially Andrew who was seconds away from his descent down the handrail.

Work experience should give you the full picture.

Last week, we had Carter join us at Digital Edge, and we wanted him to get a real feel for the whole business.

That meant seeing the fun side of digital, from ideas, content, networking and creative work, but also the quieter parts that are just as important. The planning, the process, the communication, the problem-solving and the behind-the-scenes bits that keep everything moving.

Because being fully immersed in a business means seeing how it all comes together.

For us, work experience should be valuable. It should give young people a proper look at what different roles involve, how a team works together and how much goes into the finished work people see at the end.

Carter threw himself into it, asked great questions and got involved across different areas of the team.

We believe in adding value to everything we do, and that includes the work experience we offer. Investing time in young people matters, because they are the future of our industry, our businesses and our teams.

Well done, Carter. It was brilliant having you with us.

The best marketing moments are rarely just about the moment itself.

They are about what happens next.

Our latest blog looks at what businesses can learn from big events like Wimbledon, where timing, consistency and keeping people engaged all play a part.

It is not about jumping on every trend. It is about being ready when people are already paying attention, and making sure your message, visuals and next step all work together.

What is one thing every office needs?

We are asking because the new Digital Edge space is starting to come together…

The paint is going on, the desks are in, and it is finally starting to feel like a real team space.

We cannot wait to have somewhere that feels like us. A place to work, think, create, chat through ideas and probably move the same chair around six times before deciding it was fine where it started.

More updates coming soon, but for now we need your help.

What is your office non-negotiable?

Still thinking about that World Cup win this morning.

It’s coming home has already been said in this office more than once.

What stood out was not just the result, but the way it came together. The pressure, the patience, the belief, and the trust that everyone had a part to play.

That is the bit that feels familiar to us.

Good digital work is rarely about one big moment or one brilliant idea appearing out of nowhere. It comes from clear thinking, creative people, technical know-how and everyone working towards the same outcome.

When the message is right, the design has purpose and the experience feels easy for the people using it, everything starts to pull in the same direction.

We are taking inspiration from the football today - because the best results do not happen by accident. They happen when the whole team knows what they are building towards.

Ready to get every part of your digital project pulling in the same direction? Come and chat to us - https://www.wearedigitaledge.co.uk/contact-us

Meet the team đź‘‹

Say hello to Lee, one of our incredible designers.

Lee Hutchinson joined Digital Edge last year and has already made a serious impact.

He’s been leading creative work for some of our highest-profile clients, bringing a brilliant mix of design skill, professionalism and calm expertise to every project he touches.

From Web design and campaign graphics to client logo redesigns that need to feel sharp, clear and completely on brief, Lee has quickly become one of those people you trust to just get it.

He brings ideas, care, attention to detail and a very steady hand when the pressure is on, which is exactly what you want when big clients need work that looks great and lands well.

We’re very lucky to have him as part of Team Digital Edge.

And yes, of course he now has his own bobblehead. At this point, it would be rude not to.
