A good logo isn’t just something that looks nice at the top of your website. It needs to work on social profiles, email signatures, business cards, proposals, uniforms, signage, favicons and all the little places people see your business.

That means it needs to be clear, flexible and easy to recognise, whether it’s big, tiny, full colour or simplified.

The best logos give your business a look people remember, while still being practical enough to use everywhere.

This time, he was at the Aycliffe Business Park Community Breakfast, kicking things off with the opening, and we have to say, he was fantastic.

It was brilliant to see so many familiar faces in the room, meet some new ones, and start the day with good conversations, local business energy and a real sense of community.

Events like this are a great reminder of how much is happening right here on the business park, and how valuable it is to actually get in the room, have a chat and build those connections!

We need your help with our caption!

A good social caption does a lot more than just sit underneath a photo.

It needs to stop the scroll, give people a reason to care, add context, show a bit of personality and, yes, sometimes do a little bit of selling without sounding like it’s trying too hard.

The image gets the attention.
The caption keeps it.
The CTA gives people something to do next.

So, in the spirit of practising what we preach, we need your help with this absolute masterpiece captured of Andrew yesterday.

The team have already thrown a few suggestions into the ring, including:

This week’s Make the Most Monday tip is simple: check your website on your phone.

Not your laptop. Not the big screen in the office. Your phone.

Because that’s where a lot of your customers are seeing it.

Scroll through your homepage. Click your buttons. Try to read your text. Open your menu. Fill in your contact form. Pretend you are a customer who has never seen the site before.

Does it feel easy?

Or are you pinching the screen, chasing tiny buttons, waiting for images to load and quietly losing patience?

A website can look brilliant on desktop and still be awkward on mobile. And if it’s awkward on mobile, people are much more likely to give up before they get in touch.

Your website should feel clear, quick and easy wherever people find you.

Digital Edge took a little trip to London!

The team were invited down to spend the day with our Wix Enterprise partners, and it was a really brilliant one.

It gave us the chance to introduce who we are (with all our new members!), how we work and what matters to us as a team. We didn't want it to be just about the amazing websites we build, but the way we support clients, solve problems and try to make the whole digital process feel a lot less stressful.

We also got to learn more about the Wix Enterprise team and how we can keep building a stronger relationship together.

There was a great run-through of the Wix Enterprise dashboard too, which definitely got a few ideas moving. You know it has been a good day when half the team are already thinking about how something could help a client.

Being a Wix Partner is something we are genuinely proud of. We know the platform well, but more than that, we care about using it in the right way for the businesses we work with.

A special thank you to Madeline, Gema, Robert, Ollie and Chris for their time, hospitality and for making us feel so welcome. We really appreciated it.

We came away feeling excited, inspired and even more confident about what we can keep building together.

Say hello to Neave, our Digital Account Manager / Content Writer.

Andrew has already made his bobble head debut, so now it’s Neave’s turn to join the collection.

Neave is one of the people helping keep client work moving, messages clear and content sounding like it actually belongs to the business it’s written for.

From planning posts and writing captions to checking in with clients, keeping projects organised and turning ideas into content that makes sense, she helps bring the moving parts together.

If there’s a content plan, a caption to polish, a client update to sort or a “how do we say this better?” moment, Neave is probably already on it.
