New venture!

Max and I have been working away on something new for the past few months, and today we're finally launching it.

It's called One Day Brand Library.

The idea is pretty straightforward:

🚁 Drone

All captured in one day by a small, experienced team.

We plan everything beforehand, then spend the day capturing as much great content as possible, giving businesses a big library of photography and video they can use across their website, social media, advertising, PR and marketing.

We're really excited to see what happens with this.

A nice bit of post to receive.

I had the pleasure of mentoring Tyler through her final year of Graphic Design, and she surprised me with this lovely LEGO minifigure after graduating.

Today's design task: report design.

Every document starts with the structure.

Before thinking about imagery, colour or typography, I build a custom grid in Adobe InDesign. It gives the document a clear framework, making it easier to read while giving me the flexibility to bring in photography, brand assets and visual interest.

I love this part of the job.

Very cool to see one of my drone images in this thought provoking article by Ashley Davies in The Times and The Sunday Times.

The image is of Craigleith Island with the mighty Bass Rock in the background. A rare image as you have to be taken by boat to the island to get this shot. I was there as part of a Scottish Seabird Centre expedition last year.

The islands have recently been sold to the RSPB. Great news for the conservation of the colonies, and the future of these endangered species.
