Right now, 1 in 4 children across the South West are living in poverty, while food for millions of meals is thrown away. FareShare South West's vision is a future where no food is wasted, and all people can thrive. They turns food waste into social good by rescuing surplus food and sharing it with charities and schools across Gloucestershire to Cornwall.
Their partner charities use the food to support people facing poverty, including children, low-income families, homeless individuals, refugees, survivors of abuse, and others. Together with this, their volunteers gain meaningful experiences, and a youth employability program provides personal development, training, and skills for life.
