EMME is 5 years old 🥹 5 years ago my dad told me not to quit my job and go all in on my business, bearing in mind he was a gambling man, had just invested in our property development company and ran his own business… I couldn’t get my head around it… until now.
Working for yourself is honestly the best thing I’ve ever done and I wouldn’t change it for the world, but it’s not easy, there’s no real switch off, no proper days of, your brain is always on.
I remember being on holiday with him and he’d constantly be on the phone, stressing about jobs back home, checking in on the lads… and I used to think, just turn it off for a week?! 👀
Turns out… I’m exactly the same fuccckkkkkkk
There have been highs and lows, but this business has given me and the girls a financially stable, self-employed life and that’s something I’ll never take for granted, it’s come from early mornings, late nights, pressure, graft… but every single bit of it has been worth it, we work to live, not live to work!
EMME wouldn’t be where it is without Lucy, Shannon, Abi, Em Brand (the OG), the amazing freelancers we work with, and most importantly our families. The people behind the scenes who cheer us on, follow every client journey, help build systems, proof work, jump in on shoots, send opportunities our way, lend us money when we’ve needed it 🤪 and offer a glass of vino when times are tough.
If you’ve been thinking about starting something… take this as your sign 🤎
