FEELING INSPIRED!! 💯

We often don’t realise the incredible things going on in our local area. But today I got to see first hand some amazing initiatives taking place in Northampton.

I fortunately had the opportunity to spend the day with the Northampton Community Foundation (NCF) and see three community projects that they support.

The first project we visited was Buddies of Beckets, a non-profit organisation concerned with the preservation and development of Beckets Park. 🍃

We were then treated to lunch in Elsie’s Cafe. The cafe focuses on reducing food waste and opening our eyes up to the amount of food thrown away by large supermarkets. 🥘

Finally we spent the afternoon with a small charity called Tools for Self-Reliance. ‘Tools’ provides meaningful volunteering opportunities for vulnerable and isolated adults and young people who are unable to work due to disabilities or health issues.🔨

A big thank you to the NCF for inviting me along and allowing me to see and meet some of the amazing people in Northampton. 🙏
