Where would we be without Adobe! 🤷‍♀️

Passing away earlier this month, Dr. Warnock’s technological innovations inspired creativity on a global scale. Co-founding Adobe in 1982 he pioneered software such as Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop.
As Adobe now embraces the new era of AI with Firefly it’s impossible not to see the benefits these new tools already bring to the table.

Bars and branding… what’s not to love! 🙌

Having used Filly & Foal Mobile Bar Hire at my own wedding and being blow away by their attention to detail it was a joy to be able to return the favour!

I loved working on this branding project creating their new logo and additional mini brand guidelines to help guide a quick refresh of their existing website.

When designing a logo It's important to consider how it will translate across all promotional material going forward.

Copying and pasting your logo over and over can be, well, a little repetitive so including additional elements such as iconography or illustrations which support your branding can be helpful.

By deconstructing the Safety Space logo and using the icons to support the brand added variation whilst keeping it consistent.

Designing the new website for Riversdale Cottage was a dream! 🫶🦆🏡

This tranquil riverside retreat, nestled in the heart of the Norfolk Broads needed a new website as an additional platform to promote the property.

Earthy tones that mirror the surrounding landscape paired with bespoke illustrations of plants native to the Norfolk Broads reflect the cottages unique charm.

Safety Space, a business that thrives on challenging the status quo needed an impactful identity to reflect their unique approach to safety and compliance.

I loved working on this project as it really had a little bit of everything. Bringing all those elements together to create a cohesive and recognisable brand has been great fun to work on.

For those who don’t know me, hello… I’m Becky! 👋

I’ve been happily designing for the last 9 years and decided 10 months ago to dip my toes into the world of freelancing, something I’ve always wanted to do!

Alongside running Happy Graphix, I also work at a marketing agency so it’s fair to say I literally live and breathe graphic design which is handy, because I love it!

Less is more...

It’s easy to assume that the best way to get your message across is to pack as much information into the design as possible. However, this can often have the opposite effect.

The design becomes overcrowded and it’s impossible for the viewer to know where to start.

It’s important to identify the key message. What are you trying to say to the viewer? Don’t overcomplicate it.

In many cases less is more when it comes to communicating your message effectively.
