I have slowly been adding to my illustrated series of Norfolk Broads prints and greetings cards. This year a Wroxham boat scene, and the steam rail turntable at Hoveton have been included.

I recently worked with Jamie, of JC Build. He had an idea of the kind of logo he wanted, very crisp and clean, and the colour palette he liked too. As always I provided 6 very different designs to choose from, and we worked together to tweak it until Jamie was 100% happy.

This is the final outcome. I went on to design the van graphics - again a very clean, uncluttered design, which the fantastic MonarchSignsLimited printed and installed.

The result.... one very happy customer, ready to start his new business.

At the start of the summer I was asked to create a logo for a property at Winterton On Sea called "Jacks Shack" (no apostrophe as per customer wishes). Jack is the grandson of the owner, and it's by no means a shack! They were getting ready to let it out to holiday makers.

We discussed ideas, colours, and based it on the famous Big Norfolk Skies and sea-scape colour palettes. As usual I produced six different designs for proof 1, and we narrowed it down to two favourites. A few tweaks and changes later, the whole family had a vote between them, and the chosen design has been made into signs, key rings and tote bags. No missing Jacks Shack now!

It's such fun to work on project like these, it was so personal to the owner, and she loved the process of getting to the winning design. I had some lovely feedback from her.

It's been a busy few months here at PX2, so much that I noticed I'd not posted any work samples recently. I've worked with 2 Magpies Design in Nottingham for a number of years, with their previous logo, and now with this "brand refresh".

Clare the owner wanted to update the look, but keep the feel of the original brand. She LOVES stripes, and the brighter the better, so we have moved kept the previous magenta and lime palette, and added in new citrus colours too. The magpies themselves have also evolved, from the first lino cut version, to more iconic outline shapes.

Case study time.... I've just finished working on a project for a long time client's new venture. They have fully refurbished the annex at their property which is to be used as a luxury holiday cottage, and are hoping to attract direct bookings for 2023.

I was supplied with a photo of a stained glass window, which they wanted the brand identity to be based on. So I created a logo based on the thistle and hill window. Using a muted sage green for the accent.

I've set up a simple website, with lots of photos and a walk through video. I've also designed business cards, with a QR code which links to the new site. Potential customers might find the properties own website even though it's listed with all the main holiday companies too, and come direct to the owners.

Following on from my post a while ago about the World Cup sweepstake board I designed, here it is in action. Each team was sponsored for £10 to raise funds for a local charity, I was allocated Switzerland, so pleased to report they just won their first match. Come on the lads... Toblerone anyone?

Wedding season is still in full swing, a couple of weeks ago I created a double sided flyer for a wedding dress boutique. They wanted a soft, calm feel, with a clean design, and minimal text. Think we hit the brief spot on then!
