As Norwich switches on its festive lights, Jarrolds department store in the city centre has joined in the celebrations with its own Christmas illuminations.

A large neon hand has appeared on the front of the iconic Jarrolds department store, which links back to the theme of this year’s festive window displays: Jarrolds, the home of handpicked Christmas gifting.

Design and production of the unique installation began months ago to be ready for the festive period, with the creation dreamt up by Jarrolds’ head visual merchandiser, Julie Blanch.

The unveiling comes just after Jarrolds was announced the winner of the UK’s Best Independent Department Store for the second year running at the 2025 Drapers Awards.

2025 is Jarrolds 255th year in business. To celebrate this anniversary, and the recent award win, Jarrolds will be giving customers 255 chances to win: with 255 £55 gift cards available in the prize draw, which runs throughout December.

On Saturday, the book 'More Things I Wish I'd Known' officially launched - a project brought together by Michelle Gant.

A collection of essays, stories and viewpoints from women, sharing some of the things they've learnt along life’s journey. And in amongst the pages you'll find a contribution from our client services director, Hannah.

Her piece is titled 'If it matters to you, it matters' and reflects on her teenage years, and why it's important to pay attention to what really brings you happiness. And although there are messages that hopefully will resonate and help lots of women, it was written with her two daughters in mind.

It's the second time Hannah has contributed to one of Michelle's books, previously writing an essay for 'When The World Paused; What a pandemic taught us about living.'

We learned today that one of our most favourite clients has passed away. Harvey has been a key part of the Castle Quarter team since we began working with them in 2020. He provided cuddles and security in equal measure and attended every PR meeting.
