Some or most clients should now see their services being restored.

Update Connectivity has been restored to the York DC via the Manchester link, and we are currently waiting for confirmation from our upstream provider that full stability has been restored. The London connection now has engineers on site to repair the fibre. This fibre route runs alongside the railway and, as a result, requires authority from Network Rail before the engineer can access it. Repairs to the London link are expected to be completed later this afternoon.

Server Data Centre Update

UPDATE We are currently experiencing a network outage affecting services hosted at our York data centre. Our data centre provider has reported that the primary fibre connection to London has been severed by third-party contractors near Sheffield.

Last night the server was rebooted in the early hours to process some essential updates. A few accounts had authentication issues at around 3:30am, which may have locked out your account.

To update, the dedicated servers were switched at around 8:30am.

Websites should all be working fine but for those clients that connect to email using the emedias.co.uk hostname, there are likely issues because of some post migration actions that are taking place as we speak.

I will update this post as things progress and apologies for any inconvenience.

🌟 NEW WordPress website for the Heydon Village Tea Room…

I first discovered this lovely tea room via my work on the project.

By chance, month’s later I was able to give some advice to Cindy, who runs the venue, on a variety of booking systems for restaurants. Off the back of this, I was then delighted to be involved in a website redesign.

One aim of the redesign was to bring a modern and responsive design mixed with photos that really show off how great the venue is!

The bigger priority though was to integrate a booking system, firstly making it easier for customers to reserve a table but then also so Cindy could recoup a lot of hours spent on booking related admin tasks every week. A lot of energy goes into the running of her tea room so hopefully this will transform how her time is spent.

At the time of posting, while the new website is live, the new booking system is still being finalised and will go live in the coming weeks.

🌟 NEW WordPress website for Harvey Medical Aesthetics…

Zoe is an NMC registered midwife and recently opened her own aesthetics clinic in Norwich.

Initially I gave her some free advice on websites and the digital side of running a business but this then led to me designing a new website for her.

The aim was to create a website that looked professional, while backing the fact that Zoe is a trusted aesthetic practitioner and ethical when advising on treatments.
