26 feels like a weird age.
Old enough to feel like I should have everything sorted.
Young enough to know I absolutely don’t.
I’m building a business I have huge ambitions for, while still regularly wondering if I’m making the right decisions.
I’ve bought a house, but there’s still so much I want to do with it.
I want to earn more, travel more, build more, experience more.
Then sometimes I have to remind myself that I’m 26.
There’s so much pressure at this age to feel like you should be further ahead.
Someone’s getting married.
Someone’s buying their second house.
Someone’s travelling the world.
Someone’s business seems to be flying.
Someone else has packed it all in and started again.
The funny thing is, I don’t actually think any of us know what we’re doing as much as it looks like we do.
I’m ambitious. I’ll probably always be looking at the next thing I want to achieve.
But I’m trying to get better at not letting that make me rush through the life I wanted in the first place.
Maybe having it “figured out” isn’t really the goal.
Curious if anyone else in their 20s feels like they’re simultaneously doing really well and have absolutely no idea what they’re doing?
