Have you ever considered if working for an agency is the right move for you? Read on to find out more...

What does it entail?πŸ‘‡πŸΌ
You would usually go through an interview process like you would for a normal job, you may get asked to perform a task i.e. summarising articles, writing a blog or showing some sort of marketing / design skill. You are essentially apart of a pool of freelancers that range in skills and experience, the agency will have a collection of clients that they will put you on depending on your skills and what the client needs.

Inside the agencyπŸ‘€
Most agencies are remote, if that is the case you will have a shared drive for clients and some sort of chat i.e. slack, google chats. You will be added into relevant channels for clients and a shared calendar. You will need to attend weekly meetings to see where you are and smaller meetings with other freelancers that are on the same project.

What about hours and pay?πŸ’°
You might be required to state a minimum and maximum you have for availability (this is so they don't under/overwork you). You pick when you want to work and will be allocated an amount of hours per month / per week for a client as they will have caps on hours worked. You should either set up or be given an hours tracker for you to fill out every time you work and a cut off for when those hours should be updated. You will have an invoice template that you send over to HR each month and they will pay you within 30 days - you will probably be on an hourly rate too!

So is it for me? Is it worth it?πŸ€”
That depends, I have had great experiences working for agencies, it's super flexible and offers a variety of projects and clients which is great for portfolio building. There are a few disadvantages to consider:
- you don't get holiday pay or sick pay
- you don't always get to choose what you do/work on
- It can be hard juggling multiple avenues of income i.e. a job and freelancing for an agency

I personally think agencies are great, flexible and perfect for any point of your career!

Batch creating content for socials can be overwhelming and feels like a chore! Half the time it's because content isn't planned in advance and we struggle to switch our creative minds on for the sake of one post that day.

Here are my top tips for batch creating content and staying ahead of it all!

1. Pick a date
Pick the same day every week to sit down and batch create.

2. Allocate time
On that allocated day, also set a block of a couple of hours to get this done.

3. Strategy
Have a think about what content you are posting i.e. is it for leads, sales, testimonials? Make sure you mix it up so you aren't just pushing sales on your customers.

4. Research
Now you have your content categories or 'bins' as some call it, you need to research those topics and look at analytics on previous posts to see how well that worked and what can be improved.

5. Outline
Make a clear outline of what you want the post to say and how you want your customers to read/watch it, write your captions and do your hashtag research

6. Create
Create your content, whether it's designing, writing or recording.

Make sure you save this post for future use/reference! I am not currently available for social media management, but please feel free to DM me for some advice or one of content creation.

I am actually tearing up as a write this, but I have some amazing news to share with you all...

I AM FULLY BOOKED!πŸŽ‰

Four words I never thought I'd ever get to say, but as of today I am not taking on anymore recurring customers (social media management, weekly tasks etc). To my current clients - nothing will change it's business as usual!

The only new business I will be taking on is quick turn around one off projects such as a quick design work, emails, content creation etc. If you have any queries or are unsure that the work you need falls into this category, please feel free to reach out to me!

My pages will be running as normal with regular posts too, but I cannot thank you all enough for putting your trust in my work, your kind words that have landed my next clients and for the support you show day in and out! This is just the start for my little business and hopefully a a taste of what is to come!

Happy Friday all πŸ–€

Why isn't your business selling?

There are many reasons as to why sales might not be soaring, so lets dig deeper into it...

1. your customer hasn't seen it enough.
That's right, it takes a customer on average at least 7 times of seeing something before buying.

2. your customer doesn't feel anything.
90% of purchasing is because of emotional factors, I say this a lot but you have to humanise your brand, you cannot just sell sell sell all the time.

3. your customer doesn't see the value.
a confused mind doesn't buy, clear value and intention in your products and services = more sales.

4. your customer doesn't trust you yet.
people rely on social proof before buying from a customer, make sure you get those reviews and testimonials in.

5. your customer doesn't know what to do.
people get discouraged and frustrated with complicated processes, make the customer journey as easy and simple as possible.

This information can be overwhelming and a lot to take on, you cannot build a booming business overnight. That's what Floww. is here for, to take on your digital needs and help boost your sales!

There is always talk about hiring freelancers to do different jobs, but when do you know that it is the right time for you to outsource work?

1. You're stressed out!

Running a business has enough stress as it is without trying to do every single role yourself. Hiring a freelance designer/admin/marketer can take off some of that weight!

2. You have new ideas you can't develop...

By this I mean that you are starting to think bigger and better for your company, but you might not have the design skills or analytical knowledge to push your business in the right direction - it's okay to need guidance from external sources!

3. You're stuck!

You've been following by the book posting on social media 3-5 times a week, you're creating ads, you've got a website and sales aren't progressing. Having an expert freelancer that understands the ins and outs can be a great asset to your business if they can drive traffic and sales for your business.

Floww. digital can assist with all of your digital business needs! From getting started, to a fresh new look, or diving deep into the technical stuff to learn more about your audience and pave a path for success. Get in touch today!

Slightly different post today! I wanted to share with you some marketing styles I am OBSESSED with at the moment. I have always had a great appreciation for marketing and will point it out to my friends who have absolutely no interest, but there are two brands that never fail to impress me...

1.

I have been a customer to this brand for probably 5 years or so now and I will never stop browsing their website and their socials purely because of their marketing tactics. Not only are their videos for upcoming drops so well done, but the product descriptions on their website are something else - it fits perfectly to their target audience and is so simple, yet unforgettable.

Have a look for yourself by heading over to palaceskatebaords.com

2.

I have no idea how, but their marketing team has the whole world hooked on this completely unhinged owl! Even if you don't know what Duolingo is or what it does, you have definitely seen their big green owl causing chaos across social media. Very clever marketing.

Their website is duolingo.com but definitely check out tik-tok and instagram pages!

I'm as sad as you to see the funky and bright coloured branding I had go, but with my business growing at the rate that it is, the brand was no longer just about me and what I want.

I have attracted some amazing clients, but due to the 'girlyness' of my branding I was restricting my business slightly and niched down a bit too much.

My aim has always been to assist small businesses, which means my brand identity needs to be approachable by all - not only that, as I move up in the world a professional/sleek look was always going to be the end goal! I cannot thank all of you enough for getting me this far, I wouldn't be able to grow without you!πŸ–€

So - how do you know it's time to change?

1. when you find your business growing and expanding

2. your brand doesn't quite reflect your product/services in a way you feel it should

3. you're releasing new products/services

4. it feels outdated/old or no longer reflects you

Its okay to have a brand refresh, we see big companies do it all the time! A change in brand is a great sign of growth - Floww. Can help with that!

I offer branding at a low and tailored cost to small businesses, so get in touch today!

5 top tips for working from home! I have been remote working for over a year now and it's took me some time to get into a good/productive routine, so I thought I'd share some tips!

1. Communicate with your colleagues

Communication is key! You'd be surprised at how long you can go without speaking to anyone and before you know it a deadline is due and you're uncertain on what it is you need to do! Pop up to your manager, don't be afraid to admit you need help or clarity on something!

2. Plan your working day

This goes without saying, but when you only have yourself to rely on for getting things done it can get disorganised pretty quickly! I like to have a main to-do list, a day-to-day one and schedule a timetable to keep myself on track!

3. Interact with others

It's so important to make sure you're getting social interaction in, I've gone a week without leaving my house and talking to anyone without even realising! Grab a coffee, small talk with workers in your local shop or facetime friends/family/colleagues!

4. Take breaks - and get outside!

Did you know that sitting down for 8 hours everyday can lower metabolism and is really bad for you? By standing every hour even if it's to grab a drink or put a wash on, can stop this from happening and keep you active during the week! Get outside too, even if it's for 5 mins!

5. Have a routine and change it up

Get yourself into a routine, don't wake up 5 minutes before you're due to start and do not work from bed! Set yourself a good routine for a few weeks and then change it up, you might work from your desk for 2 weeks and then from your dining room table. Change is good, it keeps us fresh and our day interesting!

Are you looking to freelance? Are you not sure where to start? Then let's go through it together...

1. Niche down!

You need to think about what you're going to do, there's a lot of aspects to digital marketing...

🌟 SEO
πŸ“§ Email marketing
✍🏼 Copywriting
πŸ’» Product marketing

And much more...

2. Full-time or part-time?

You are not going to have a flood of customers straight away, I would highly recommend carving out some time outside of your usual working hours to focus on your business, it takes time to build clients and it's not for everyone, so try it out before you go all in!

3. Setting a price!

It can be hard to set a price for your business, there is always a risk of pricing too low/too high but factor in these points when you price your services:

> how much would you like to earn annually?
> how many hours would need to be invested?
> what is the industry average?
> your experience/qualifications

4. Finding clients...

It's tough getting started, i'll never forget the anxiety that fuelled me when I was in talks with my first client. Post in group chats, look at freelancing websites and ask friends and family if they need any work doing, also don't be afraid of rejection! It's competitive and everyone's style is different.
