Been having a play around with the new Photoshop update and created this new ‘sci-fi samurai’ desktop wallpaper. The way it integrates AI is unbelievable, but it's definitely not "press 1 button and you're done'. You have to add the right prompts, but more importantly you still need the photoshop skills to create the final thing in terms of knowing how to edit, compose, work with layers and masks, colour correction etc.

AI in the creative industry is worrying, but if we use it as a tool, hopefully us designers, illustrators, photographers etc can stay relevant and more importantly, still needed.

Sheffield Wednesday FC have announced the return of the iconic Owl next season on a 3rd strip... but they've absolutely bodged the redrawing of the owl with different thickness, wonky lines and circles that aren't even round. The whole thing looks a bit amateurish, and it’s not the first time.

In the 90s we had some great kits, but Puma (or someone at the club) felt the need to mess with the owl graphic and never managed to get it right… so I felt compelled to tidy it up and present my version.

So I have redrawn the owl itself, but also made an updated crest that for the first time integrates the famous blue and white stripes as well as proudly displaying 4 stars to represent the four 1st division league titles that Wednesday won in 1903, 1904, 1929 & 1930.

Maybe the club will notice and get in touch?!?! 😉
