SHOULD I DO A GIVEAWAY??
So this was fun to paint, the blue outline with the brush work within, has produced something with an 80s vibe! I must admit after having worked out the script and got it down, I had not considered what the finished sign would like, yes retro still but not from the 1980s, I never paint anything that look like it’s from the 80s!
Without a clear idea from the start and choosing to paint on impulse, it’s the focus on adding the work within the thick blue outline with its 3D shaping that is the why it feels to me the way it does. I tend to enjoy cleaner more simple shapes within letters I think, which I think is probably down to my print/graphic design background.
ANYWAY.. like I said at the beginning I want to do a giveaway, but I don’t know if there’s enough of you out there that would want to take part, Instagram seems to operate very differently now to the way it did, I don’t seem to be connecting with my ‘tribe’ in the same way.
