Another issue of Economics Today completed and delivered on time.

Marcus and Wendy genuinely love working on this magazine, so it’s always with real joy and pride when we finish an issue and then see the fresh printed copy arrive through the post.

There’s a huge amount of detail behind every edition - from charts and layouts to making sure the articles read clearly and look great on the page. It’s always rewarding to see it all come together.

✨ Coming soon… The next issue of Economics Today is nearly here - and with it, a fresh new cover colour!

This time, we’ve taken inspiration from Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2025: Mocha Mousse (PANTONE 17-1230) 🤎
A warm, grounded tone that feels calm yet quietly powerful - much like the conversations happening in this issue.

We don’t pick colours at random. Each one is chosen to reflect the mood, message and relevance of the content inside.
Economics Today is a serious resource for A-level students, packed with topical debate and curriculum-aligned insight, but it’s also designed to feel engaging, accessible, and worth picking up.

Mocha Mousse brings all of that together in one understated yet confident hue.

This week, I received a certificate from Canva for creating over 1,000 designs.
That’s 1,000+ pieces of content - from logos and brand kits to workshop guides, client carousels, and social media campaigns - created for small businesses, councils, market traders and high street retailers.
Design is never just about making things look nice. It’s about:
• Communicating clearly

• Creating Brand recognition
• Engaging the right customers

• Helping businesses grow.

This is a great funding opportunity so if you’ve a high street business in Rushcliffe Borough Council apply now as it’s first come, first served! Lots of creative things you can do to enhance that initial customer impression of your business and boost footfall!

📣 High street businesses in the Borough can apply for up to £5,000 grant funding to further assist those currently trading on local high streets and town centres by:
✔️Enhancing accessibility
✔️Supporting sustainability
✔️ Improving the appearance of existing premises on the high street
✔️ Encouraging businesses to introduce energy saving measures

Our High Street Small Business Grants can support up to 70% of the cost of projects up to a maximum of £5,000, supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
