So Friday night's film club went a little pear shaped, ten minutes into the film I came down with a horrible migraine and was in bed feeling sorry for myself by 8.30pm 🙈

This obviously meant there was no Zoom part to Film Club this week. Colin contacted those of you we knew were taking part but I still wanted to apologise incase anyone else was planning to join us and then didn't get the details.

Fingers crossed, this weeks will be better!

…THE BABE WITH THE POWER

That’s right, if you hadn’t guessed already, this week’s film is Labyrinth!

This film came out in 1986 and is one of my all-time favourites! It’s currently on Netflix (as well as other streaming services).

Directed by Jim Henson and featuring many of his excellent puppets, a young Jennifer Connelly and of course David Bowie 🤩 with lots of super catchy songs.

With that in mind, I am changing up this week’s Zoom call for a Zoom party! Join me and I will be playing some late 80’s hits for us to have a boogie to!

Press play this Friday (13th) on Netflix at 8pm to watch the film in time with us, and then join me for the Zoom party at 9.50pm approx 🎉 ALL FOR FREE!

If you’re looking for action, tonight’s film club screening has got you covered!

Tonight we’ll be watching the 80’s classic The Terminator!

Directed by and starring the legendary , we get a glimpse of a future marginally more apocalyptic than the one we’re currently living in 😂 just kidding! Available to watch on .

We’ll be kicking things off and pressing play at 8pm, with the free zoom call to follow at 10pm.

If you’re free and would like to join us, please do, everyone is welcome whether you’re a fully-fledged film buff or just looking for something fun to watch on this first Friday.

Tonight’s film, in case you missed the announcement on Tuesday, is… His House!

The trailer for this film had my hairs standing on end, so be warned. The film is out today on Netflix so brand new.

Possibly not as it’s only been up and running for a short while, but we’re looking for other film enthusiasts to join us every Friday.

To take part all you have to do is look out for the film announcement in our stories, hit play at the scheduled time and join us for a free zoom call to discuss the film afterwards.

Thank you to everyone for their comments and support for last night’s first Oh Lonely Arts Film Club screening. It was good fun and I now have a Clue 😉

Tonight’s film is Clueless, that 90’s classic I have NEVER seen. We’re kicking things off at 8pm. All you have to do is hit play at the same time and join us for a free Zoom debrief afterwards at 9.50pm. ⁠

Sometimes a change of scenery whilst working from home can do you the world of good, a tasty breakfast also really helps!

If you find working from home tough my best advice is to move as much as possible. Try working in a different room or at a local coffee shop, or, if that’s not your thing, just going for a short walk during the day to get some fresh air can help lift your spirits and break the routine.
