Northampton is looking brighter than ever as hundreds of colourful hanging baskets and planters appear across the town ahead of this year's RHS East Midlands in Bloom judging. 🌸🌿

Backed by Northampton Town Council and supported by Northampton Town BID, the town is once again competing for Bloom honours after securing a Silver Gilt award last year.

The judges' route will showcase community groups, environmental projects, heritage sites and plenty of floral displays celebrating the Year of the Woman Farmer.

Looking for something different for a teenager this summer?

The Parks Trust is encouraging 14 to 17-year-olds across Milton Keynes to join its free Youth Rangers programme, offering hands-on conservation activities, practical skills and the chance to make new friends outdoors. 🌳🦋

From tree planting and wildlife surveys to pond clearance and wildflower seed collection, the programme gives young people the opportunity to help care for some of Milton Keynes' most loved green spaces.
