Professional without sounding corporate

Professional doesn't mean formal, stiff or full of jargon. It means clear, reliable and useful.

Speak like a real human in your content while still showing that you understand the problem and have a process to solve it.

You can be professional and human at the same time.

Align your bio with your offer

Your bio should quickly explain who you help, the result you create and the next step.

Don't use all your space describing yourself.

Use it to help the right person decide what to do next.

Your bio is part of your sales process. Make the next step obvious.

Save this before rewriting your own bio.

Here's a quick audit for your bio and home pages:
Can someone tell who you help, what you help them achieve and why they should trust you, within 10 seconds?

If not, the problem may not be your posting frequency.

It may be your message.

Test your message with these three questions before creating more content.

Message me for a free audit of your message.

Your website and social content should agree

If your social content says one thing and your website says something completely different, people lose confidence.

Your bio, homepage and videos should make the same promise in slightly different ways.

Consistency makes your business easier to understand and trust.

Everyone's posting "yapping" videos — but the ones that actually get watched aren't off the cuff.

They're structured, not scripted.

Here's my "Gift of the Gab" method for making a natural, conversational video that still lands a clear point:

🎯 Grab — one clear point for your message
🎯 Aim — know your audience, and use bullet points (not a full script)
🎯 Bring — deliver it in your own words

No fancy gear - just your phone (back camera), natural light, and a rough plan.

Want the full breakdown? It's on Youtube, link in bio.

Create content for the three stages of awareness:
1, People who don't know they have a problem
2, People actively looking for a solution
3, People deciding who to trust.

If you only create tips content, you may attract attention without helping people choose you.

Create content for awareness, consideration and decision.

Save these three stages for your next content plan.

Connect content to an offer

When I plan content for a business, I connect each topic to a real service or customer problem.

That way, the content isn't just attracting attention, it's creating a reason for the right person to start a conversation.

Useful content should naturally lead towards the way you help people.

Message me to connect your content to your offers.

A content plan should start with the sale

Start your content plan with the offer, not the platform.
What are you selling, who needs it and what would they need to believe before enquiring with you?

Then create content that answers those questions.

Build content backwards from the action you want people to take.

Follow for more on building content backwards from the sale.

Define the customer you want more of.

Write down your best recent customer.
What did they value, what problem were they solving and why were they a good fit?

Create content for more people like them, instead of trying to attract every possible customer, attract people you'd love to serve.

Your best customer can help you define your next audience.
