About time I made one of these 😂
Born and raised in Ormskirk I’ve pretty much always been interested in creating.
I first got into photography at Ormskirk College and bought my first camera at 17. I eventually went on to study animation at UCLan.
Around the same time I started bartending and developed a love for house music. I was going to some pretty cool events and became fascinated by all the visuals on the huge screens behind the DJs. That ended up becoming what I wanted to specialise in and became a big focus during my animation degree.
Bartending was also a massive part of my life for years. I worked at some incredible venues and looking back hospitality taught me a lot about customer service, communication and dealing with people. These are all things I still use every day running a social media, videography and ads business.
After graduating I joined Freedom of Creation, a design agency in Preston. Working there gave me experience in web design, graphic design, marketing, social media and plenty of other creative skills that I still use today.
A couple of years later I joined the family business. That gave me my first proper look behind the curtain at what it actually takes to run a business, while still freelancing with photography, websites and design on the side.
Then in 2017 I took a summer out and moved to San Sebastián to learn Spanish, surf and reset. I absolutely fell in love with the place and still plan on retiring there one day. 🇪🇸
When I came back I started pushing further into videography. One job led to another and over the years I’ve been lucky enough to work with some incredible businesses and athletes from HYROX World Champions and professional rugby players to high-level fighters and loads of great local businesses.
Over time I started combining everything I’d learnt over the years: video, photography, design, websites, marketing, hospitality and social media.
And that’s pretty much how I ended up doing what I do today. 📸
