We’ve all been there!

We’ve all posted on social media and felt unnoticed by our target audience. Like you were talking to yourself 💬

Fortunately, there are things that you can do to make sure that you and your content is seen by your target audience! 👇🏼

🧔🏼IDENTIFY YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE AND THEIR NEEDS

Before you begin you need to work out exactly who your target audience is. Are they middle aged? Do they have a high level of disposable income? Once you work this out it’ll be easier to determine what they might be looking for in a product or service.

💻 POST ON SOCIAL PLATFORMS THAT YOU KNOW YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE WILL BE USING

Once you’ve established some key characteristics of your target audience (such as their age and interests) you’ll be able to determine likely social platforms that they’ll be interacting on!

e.g. TikTok tends to be used to target younger consumers 💃🏽

📸 USE IMAGES AND EMOJIS IN YOUR CONTENT WHEREVER POSSIBLE

Creating a post using just text is BORING. You won’t catch your target audiences eye like that! Using emojis throughout your caption and adding relevant images to your post will help your post stand out.

📱SHARE YOUR POST ON RELEVANT GROUPS OR PAGES

Are there any relevant groups or pages that your target audience will be on? Maybe your target audience are based in a specific location or work in a specific industry? Sharing your posts in these groups will help to make sure your content is seen by the people that you want it to be seen by!

⚠️THIS IS A SIGN TO GET OFF YOUR PHONE ⚠️

Making sure that you take a break from technology is so important - particularly for those that work with a screen all day, everyday like me!

This weekend I’m going to make the most of not working and try and stay away from my laptop and phone so that I can enjoy some well needed time with loved ones ✨

If you’re wanting to do the same and spend some time away from a screen there’s a number of things that you can do such as..

👉🏼 Go outside. Maybe you can go for a walk with the dog or sit in the sunshine with a good book!

👉🏼 Return to a hobby that you’ve been neglecting. Whether it’s painting, sport or stamp collecting, a hobby is a great way to spend some time away from technology!

👉🏼 Write a letter to someone you haven’t seen for a while. Receiving a letter is a lot more personal than a text message and you can tell that somebody has been thinking of you. I try to write letters to my Gran whenever I can!

👉🏼 Have a look at ‘s page for more tech-free ideas!

Happy Friday everybody! 🥂

The power of a review is second to none. It can be the make or break of any business - especially a small one !

That’s why it’s so lovely to receive positive feedback from a client 🥰

If you can, try and help a small business this weekend. It doesn’t have to cost anything! You can…

How to create an Instagram video on Canva ✨

We all know how to add a video directly onto Insta (well... most of us) but creating a video on Canva can be a great way to make your post stand out 📱

I’ve listed a couple of ways that you can create videos on Canva...

✨Animate your elements ✨

On Canva you can animate specific elements. This is a great way to make a key word (such as ‘Giveaway’) or image (like a new product) stand out to your followers.

✨Use a template with animations ✨

Using Canva templates can be a great starting point to creating videos for your Insta. There’s plenty of templates to choose from so it’s definitely worth checking them out!

✨ Add in stock videos ✨

Stock videos are super useful for the background of your content. It’s a simple way to make your regular post more dynamic!

My final tip is to definitely spare an evening to play around with everything that Canva has to offer. It’s truly the best way to learn 💻

Knowing exactly who you’re targeting is one of the most important parts of your business plan.

In fact, it’s one of the first decisions you should have made when you started your business!

But if you haven’t already made that decision, how do you make it now? Well...

✨ Look at what you sell. Is it a product or a service? Is it luxury or a basic necessity? Working this out is one of the best ways to determine who to target. You don’t want to target the wrong people for your products.

✨ Check out what your direct competitors are doing. If your competitor targets teenagers, it could be worth you marketing to the gap left in the market - middle aged consumers.

✨ Observe who is already buying from you. If the majority of your customers are retired men then the chances are that’s who you’re targeting!

To wear or not to wear a mask, that is the question 😷

With doors due to be opening soon and rules seemingly changing every day, it’s important to make sure that both your staff and customers know which guidelines they ought to be adhering to once they step through the door!

As we begin to look forward to the end of the third and (hopefully) final lockdown, it’s important to remember that for many working from home will continue to be their way of working.

Here’s my top tips on working from home!

✨have a seperate area to work in (that’s not your lounge)

✨make sure you get dressed in something that isn’t your pjs

✨try and plan out your day

✨step away from your desk at lunch time. whilst ‘powering through’ may feel like a praiseworthy thing to do, taking time out of your day to change your mindset is equally important

✨have regular coffee/tea breaks

If you have any more tips on working from home, please share them with the group!

Ever heard the phrase ‘dress for the job you want’?

WELL NOT IN MY TOWN

It doesn’t matter what you wear. As long as you’re good at your job, you can dress in whatever fills you with confidence 🤩
