Phrase of 2023 for me: ‘Everything is figureoutable. ‘

I read this phrase in a marketing book and love it since.
☀️ This phrase makes me hopeful because there is always a way out of deep situations.
☀️ This phrase makes me courages so I can face bigger challenges.
☀️ This phrase makes me more confident because I know that I have solved many things in my life and I will do it again.
☀️ & this phrase makes me cheerful because I just love how it sounds. That’s it. I will definitely print it out one day. 😄

It is a slight reminder that more than 15 days have already passed from 2023 and we are not even over the shock of the New Year’s Eve. 😅

In this new beginning I am planning to refresh this page and add more content of the projects I am working on, new obsessions, passion projects and random stuff. So stay tuned. ☺️😄

It was almost exactly 2 years ago when I created my self branding materials for our Graphic Design degree show in uni. 😭 I can't believe time has passed so quickly.
I loved my course in Coventry University and so gratefull that it happened to me and I was brave enough to go after my passion.
During the course we also had the opportunity to learn about screen printing so I decided to use this technique for my business cards and CVs and printed everything by hand. (If you don't know this process, it meant that I needed to print all paper one by one and one colour at a time so once the white layers, once the yellow layers and once the black layers) It was a long and painfull process (definitely got my biceps pumped by the end) but I enjoyed it sooo much. And gosh, I even got an award for my material! 🤩😱
Self branding is always a difficult process but I think it represents me quite well. Let me know what you think. 🥰

Happy Easter everyone!
This is my way of expressing new life, growth and the beautiful feeling of spring. And why not turn it into a 'Draw this in your style' right? :D
I also wanted to create something that expresses my excitement of soon becoming a freelancer. I still have a constant fear about it with many worried voices in my head but I want to open myself up for new adventures, new ideas, new people and endless possibilities. This is what my heart desires and it is bigger than my fear so I keep going towards my goals. How do you like my illustration? Does it represent being brave and open to the world? How do you overcome your fears?

New Logo for my brand. 🎉🎉

I wanted to give a refresh to my previous logo because that was something I did in only 30 minutes so I can finally create this new account. 🙈🙈 It was time for a rebrand and wanted to tell you more about the name "Dottka Design". I came up with this name many years ago in collage when they asked us to create a visionary brand and fell in love with this. I wanted a name that works both in Hungarian and English and represents me somehow. It comes from my Hungarian nickname "Pötyi" which means Dotts in English and using 'ka' after names in Hungarian sounds cute and it means you are friends with the person. What do you think? Is it a good name?
Back to the new logo. You can see the older and newer versions on the second slide and the main features on the third slide like how the g&n connects. Let me know how you like it! Do you think the new one is better than the previous? Do you think it fits me? (I am still not sure actually 🙈)😊😊 Thanks for your time! 💛

Big News here! I am on the path of becoming a freelance graphic designer. Wohoo. 🥳

I am not there yet, I still need to collect my courage but I made this decision, a pretty biiig decision for me. I set myself a time and will go full time freelancer from July which is my biggest goal for this year. (I am excited and scared at the same time 😬)

I wanted to share this with you for many reasons:
🔸First of all, saying out loud and sharing with others help me a lot to manifest this goal.
🔸Secondly, it will keep me going and makes me accountable.
🔸And thirdly, I would like to share my journey on the way; what are my motivations but also my fears and struggles which could be really helpful for those who are thinking about doing the same.

I don't want to make this trip full of sparkles, I knooow it won't always be easy but I beleive it is important to speak not just about reaching the end goal but about the ups and downs of the journey. What do you think about this? Would you like to hear more about this topic? Any of you is thinking about going freelance? Curious about your opinion. 🥰
