Ever had a ‘Brand Fan’ moment? I did last week when I walked through Maidenhead and passed by the Adobe offices.

For those who don’t know, Adobe make really cool programs like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and many more programs to boot.

This brand is the sole reason I became a Graphic Designer and their programs enabled me to be the designer and creative that I am today.

I just wonder what other amazing tools and products are being developed behind those doors?

We are fast approaching Halloween with every family purchasing copious amounts of sweets for trick or treating, and or course the traditional pumpkin for carving.

So it's been great this week to work with on producing a fun carousel bringing awareness to pumpkin waste and how we can reduce it this Halloween.

The other great thing about this project is that as a designer, I was able to design the whole thing using the mobile app. I normally work on a laptop, but this approach was an experiment in 'designing on the go'.

Ending the week with a lovey testimonial from Rob Stevenson of Beach Guardian. I've been involved with Beach Guardian ever since I moved down here 7 years ago. It's been great to see this CIC develop into such a well respected organisation here on the north coast of Cornwall.

And for those who haven't heard of Beach Guardian, well, it was co founded by father and daughter team, Rob and Emily. They organise regular community beach cleans where they gather plastic pollution that has been washed up on the beaches. They also visit schools and talk to children about plastic pollution and what we as individuals can do to make a difference.

I'm back in the office after the Easter break and reflecting on some work I did for LiveMore Mortgages. They already had an illustration that they liked, but wanted it updated for a summer campaign as well as the Queen's Jubilee last year.

I love the challenge of repurposing an image for a campaign or event.

This Sunday is Mother's Day here in the UK. So I've put together a little tutorial, showing how I created this corporate Mother's Day e-card using Adobe Express.
