All aboard with Ben and Jimmy….out and about on their jollies…
It’s been another busy week here at Whincops of Peasenhall! 🚌
Jim kicks the week off with a trip to the Time and Tide Museum in Great Yarmouth, where the group had the opportunity to learn all about the rich maritime history the museum has to offer. 🌊⚓️
I then head to Norwich Castle for the day. While my group were learning about the historical impact castles have had, I had a little time to myself during my layover and decided to have a go at pool. Safe to say, I think I’ll stick to driving buses! 😂🎱
Wednesday brings me back to a castle, but safely on the Suffolk side of the border this time — Framlingham Castle! 🏰 Another day of fun, learning and castle-themed activities. It also marks the first outing for our new 70-seater coach, a Volvo B12B Plaxton Panther. 🚌
Thursday’s destination takes me to the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences in Cambridge with 70 children from Leiston Primary School. While I battled through the heavy Cambridge traffic, Jim took Framlingham College south of the Suffolk border to Colchester Rugby Club for a match. 🏉
To round off the week, Jim and I teamed up for our final job, taking a coachload of children and teachers from Rendlesham Primary School to IWM Duxford — a personal favourite of mine! ✈️ It’s always great to visit Duxford, with its fantastic collection of aircraft, tanks and other military vehicles that played a part in history and served in combat.
Another busy week done and dusted — and plenty more miles under our belts! 🚌💨
