If you’ve been showing up consistently and it still feels like nobody’s there - I want you to know something.

That feeling is real. And it’s exhausting. Putting genuine effort into something and getting silence back makes you question everything - your content, your offer, even whether you’re cut out for this.

But here’s what I’ve seen time and time again.

The business owners who feel invisible aren’t doing anything wrong. They’re just speaking into a space where the right people aren’t listening yet.

That’s not a confidence problem. That’s not a talent problem. That’s a strategy problem - and strategy problems have solutions.

Your people are out there. They’re scrolling Instagram right now, looking for exactly what you offer.

They just haven’t found you because the content isn’t quite reaching them yet.

That’s fixable. 🤍

She had absolutely no idea. 😭🤍

Tag a fellow business owner who’s also living a life their younger self could never have predicted.

I need to say something to the business owner who has been quietly working away, doing incredible things, serving her clients brilliantly - and barely showing up online because it never feels quite ready enough.

The branding isn’t finished.
The website needs updating.
The photos aren’t quite right.
She doesn’t know what to say.
She doesn’t feel confident enough yet.
So she waits.

And while she waits, someone with half her talent and a fraction of her experience is showing up consistently, talking about their work, building trust with the right people - and getting booked.

Not because they’re better.

Because they’re visible.

Visibility isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being present. About showing up enough that when your ideal client is ready - they already know who you are, they already trust you, they already know you’re the right person.

You cannot build that trust in silence.

Start before you’re ready. Post before it’s perfect. Show up before you feel confident.

The confidence comes from doing it - not from waiting until you have it.

Drop a 🙋‍♀️ if this is you right now - and follow for the honest side of showing up online and actually making it work. 👀

The scariest thing I ever did for my business was show up online before I felt ready.

Before the branding was perfect. Before I had it all figured out. Before I felt like I had enough experience to be worth listening to.

I just started.

And the business owners I see growing consistently right now? They’re not the most polished. They’re not the most experienced. They’re not posting the prettiest content.

They’re just the ones who decided to show up anyway.

To post the opinion they were scared to share.

To film the reel before they felt confident enough.

To talk about their work before they felt qualified enough.

Taking a chance on yourself is the most underrated growth strategy there is.

So if you’ve been waiting until everything is perfect before you really show up on social media…

This is your sign. 👀

Drop a 🎯 below if you needed to hear this today - and follow for social media strategy that helps you show up with confidence and actually get results.

There was a point last year where I genuinely considered packing it all in.

Not dramatically. Not in a big moment of crisis. Just quietly, on an ordinary Tuesday, sitting on the edge of a spare bed in Dan’s mum’s house, thinking - maybe this just isn’t working.

We’d lost our home. Our landlord sold the house so we moved the four of us - me, Dan and both kids - into one spare room. And then the week we moved in, Dan got made redundant.

I’m not going to dress it up. It was one of the hardest periods of my life.

Four people in one room with no space, no privacy and no breathing room. The kind of situation that puts pressure on absolutely everything - your relationship, your kids, your mental health, your ability to think straight let alone run a business.

And I was supposed to be showing up online. Creating content. Being the social media person. Helping other businesses with their visibility while mine felt like it was quietly falling apart.

Some days I couldn’t do it. I’d open my laptop and just stare at it. The motivation was gone. The creativity was gone. I felt like I was failing at everything all at once and I had nowhere to just go and reset.

I kept going though. Not because I had it figured out. Not because I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just because stopping felt worse than continuing.

And I’m so glad I didn’t stop.

Because right now? We’re in our own beautiful home. The kids have their space. Me and Dan have ours. My business is genuinely lighting me up in a way it hasn’t for a long time. I have clients I love, work that means something to me and a version of my life that feels like mine again.

If you’re in a hard season right now - building something while everything around you feels unstable - I just want you to know that it doesn’t always feel like this.

Keep going. 🤍

I’ve audited a lot of Instagram accounts 👀

And the problems are almost always the same - not because people aren’t trying, but because nobody ever told them what to actually look for.

A bio that doesn’t convert. Hooks that don’t stop the scroll. Content that looks good but doesn’t say anything clear. CTAs that confuse rather than guide.

Fix those five things and you’ve got a completely different Instagram.

If you want me to do this for your account - DM me AUDIT and I’ll tell you exactly what needs fixing 🖤

Can we just collectively agree to stop letting follower count be the metric that determines how we feel about our business?

Because I promise you - it is one of the least useful numbers you can obsess over.

I work with service providers who have modest followings and consistent enquiries. I’ve also seen accounts with huge numbers who are constantly chasing the next client because their content isn’t speaking to the right people.

The difference isn’t the following. It’s the strategy.

When your content speaks directly to your ideal client, answers their questions, builds genuine trust and tells them exactly what to do next - the right people find you. And the right people book you.

That’s the goal. Not the number next to your name.

Save this if you needed to hear it - and DM me ‘STRATEGY’ if you’re ready to focus on what actually matters. 💬
