As the leaves began to fall, it was a sure sign that it was time to wrap up the summer with a quarterly strategy & team building day 🍂

Last week, we headed down to Cardiff Bay, kicking things off with a team strategy meeting. The team shared updates on what’s been happening across the agency, celebrated successes, and looked to the months (and years!) ahead. After a big team lunch, we rounded off the day with a very competitive game of bowling 🎳

Empowering growth is a core value for us. Not just for our colleagues, clients and collaborators, but for our wider business community. Having benefited from the programme ourselves, we’d encourage our Penarth business neighbours to take a look at the course, and speak to Cardiff University about the January cohort coming up.

Or pop in to our offices on Herbert Terrace for a chat with Louise Morgan who can share how all types of businesses - bakers, caterers, financial services, legal professionals, cleaners and electricians (to name a few) have gone on to grow thanks to this programme and its ongoing support.

TMPR has been chosen by Cardiff Business School to promote the Help to Grow: Management Course, a government-backed programme helping SME leaders strengthen their skills and grow with confidence.

It’s a full-circle moment for Chamber member Louise Morgan, who completed the course in 2023 and described it as “transformational”. Now she’s supporting more leaders to benefit from the same insights, mentoring and peer network.

The 12-week course is 90% government funded, costing just £750, and combines practical learning, one-to-one mentoring and valuable networking.

- Oliver and Eleni hosted our first secondary school session with the help of Roxie and Aimee from Working Options
- We were announced as Vale Of Glamorgan Awards finalists for two categories!
- TMPR became the first Welsh PR & Comms agency to sign the We Show The Salary pledge
- There was cake galore to celebrate Jessica & Tom's birthdays, and Oliver's 4th anniversary
- We kicked off TMPR's Summer Spotlight series - more on this to come in August
- The team closed a busy month with a meal at Chef G's in our beloved Penarth Seafront

Today we hosted our first Grow Getters Taster Day!

Students from St Cyres School joined us for a behind-the-scenes look at life in a busy agency. With the help of Working Options, we organised a practical workshop to give them a real taste of the world of marketing and PR 📝

We're thrilled to be Empowering Growth by putting our Grow Getters programme into action. Today's taster day was an incredible chance to help unlock the creativity and potential in the next generation of crafty communicators

June was a big (and extra green) month at TMPR

From celebrating milestones to making meaningful connections, here’s some of our highlights...

⭐ Eleni and Steve helped spread the word about Hubbub, Ysgol y Deri - YYD's new project to help SEND students get paid employment, in the local press
⭐ For our quarterly team building day, we fulfilled our pledge with some beachside litter picking
⭐ We wrapped up the month at Gin 64, celebrating 14 years of TMPR and 6 months of Commerce Wales. Thanks to everyone who raised a glass with us 🥳

Yesterday became - Tidy, Leisure and Connect🌱🌍👥

Starting our quarterly team building day strong, we sat down for a productive business briefing, fuelled by coffee and pastries ☕🥐

For our quarterly activity, we followed through with our pledge and completed a clean-up in our local area by litter picking along Penarth seafront. This was a great way to have some fun, give back to our community, and live out our value of . After the tidy up, we supported a fellow local business and treated ourselves to a Pizza Pronto🍕

Big thanks to our Operations Manager Jessica for organising such a fantastic day. Here's to Q3! 💪

It's been a pleasure to help spread the word in the local press about Ysgol Y Deri's new vintage-style store, Hubbub, which is opening in Penarth town centre later this year.

Hubbub's mission is to help Ysgol Y Deri's current and past pupils with additional needs gain work experience and better their chances of getting paid work after education. The store will be wonderful addition to Penarth town centre and we're excited for the launch in September! 🤩

A new vintage shop is set to open its doors and be run by pupils from Ysgol y Deri.
